I'm new to the area about 2 years. This was the first time I went to Badcock. I always got a weird feeling from looking at the place. I'm pretty good at feeling vibes, guess I should listen to that more.
They had a sale, which made it seem like they were going out of business. I notice these sales happen often it's kinda deceptive.
Not sure why, but the lady behind the desk was not friendly or charming. Although, the sales person that helped me look at the dryer was a a nice guy.
Maybe its a race or cultural thing, since I'm from up north and "not white"; I don't know.
Anyway, I ignored that and asked if it's possible to go lower on the price. The lady said she can't change it in the system. I asked her what is the model of the dryer, she said it's a GE. I said that's the brand, but whats the model, she said she had no idea, and said I could go look at the model number myself. They were not busy, the store was mostly empty. Not sure what the deal was. I was being friendly and positive. Maybe the lady didn't like my personality.
So I went to check on line to research the model myself. Some brands and models have issues so I wanted to see what I was about to buy. As I was looking it up, the Internet didn't work too well, and my 6 month old daughter started getting fussy, so I decided that I'll just buy it; it wasn't a terrible price.
When I went up to the cashier and she started asking me for my name to put me in their system. I don't want to be put in their marketing and advertising system, I just wanted to buy a dryer. Then she told me I'll have to sign some contract for them to put it in my truck.
I don't want to give personal information and sign paperwork to buy a dryer. None of it made sense.
No thanks, Badcock. If you can't sell customers products in exchange for cash then I'll just go to Farmers ☺️
What's with all the extra?

They sold be a problem Amana refrigerator. It had a prior owner according to Flamingo repair. I lost $400 worth of food. Their customers service person Michelle lied to me about helping replace my lost food. Backcock in Branford never even bothered to call me back to help me. That was over 6 months ago. Not a trustworthy business. Buyers beware!

This is my first time shopping at Babcock ever, and even though there was a delay in the furniture reaching the store as first promise. They offered free delivery to my ?.
The date for delivery was a couple of weeks, however Miss Anna called a week early to inform us of a earlier delivery date.
Anna was the customer service person whom we dealt with during all our conversations.
The two gentlemen (Mark D and a younger Marc),making the delivery were on time and communicated with us, even when they were 20 minutes away. Professional, polite, courteous from the moment they pulled into our yard. Thank you to everyone making our first shopping experience a pleasant one.
And to anyone we might have forgotten to mention thank you.

Everyone in the store was very helpful and friendly.
The young men that delivered my furniture worked hard to make sure that set up everything just like I wanted without damaging any thing. They were both very pleasant.
I would recommend them and plan to return in the future! No complaints at all!

After multiple trips to local big box stores and an appliance resale shop, we had about given up on finding a new refrigerator that we could bring home the same day. Even the resale shop was nearly the same price as a new one, but with a flimsy guarantee. Enter Babcock in Branford, and here we find an awesome salesperson, Anna…who not only has a great Frigidaire at a great price, but let’s us know that the store offers a veteran’s discount, which is such a nice thing for any business to do! From this point forward, you have our business. What an exceptional service experience….some who takes the time to listen to what you need and helps make it happen! You will be treated with respect and kindness in this store. Thanks to Anna and the owners of the store for going the extra mile and offering the discount to veterans!
