I recently had a very disappointing experience at the Petco location in Brandon. I took my 9-pound teddy poo in for grooming, and they shaved her fur so short that she looks completely butchered. The staff claimed she was too matted and needed to be shaved completely, but this seems questionable, especially since I had been regularly brushing her fur.
The quality of service was terrible for the price—over $70 for a tiny dog—and to make matters worse, the facility was not clean. There was dog poop near the entrance, and my dog was not washed; she smelled so bad that I had to bathe her myself. Her nails also weren't trimmed.
I’m not the only one with this issue; a group of us who use this Petco for grooming have had similar complaints. Please be cautious if you’re considering bringing your pet here.

Brandon Petco team are always kind, knowledgeable on their products, and patient with me. Love this store and no joke. If you have a pet, the membership is the best 20 dollars you will spend. I don't think I've ever felt better about a monthly subscription than this.

If I could give this place a negative 5 stars I would. It's the WORST pet supply store I've ever been in, and I've been in here several times. I guess they try to save energy by not putting all the lights on, it's always so dark in there, like you're shopping in a cave.
Today was the last straw though, I was shopping for someone else and asked the cashier if she could put the small 6lb bag of dog food in a shopping bag and she looked at me like I told her that I just ran over her cat. I'm so done with rude cashiers. If you don't like your job quit.

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Melissa and the Petco grooming team! Melissa has been taking care of my sweet boy, Shadow, for years now and her work is always impeccable. Shadow looks and feels fantastic after each visit! The Petco staff is consistently friendly and professional, making every visit a pleasure. I really appreciate it!

Mom and I took the dogs for vaccinations there. All the employees said hello when I walked in they were very helpful and very friendly. Most definitely will return when we need more pet supplies or vaccinations.

Not as good as they were a few years ago! Got a de-shed but she wasn't, either was my second dog, hair falling off all over when she was picked up, (a week later even worse) . Nails were cut wrong, split all over!! My poor baby! Not using this one again! I'd really love a refund not some lame apology.
