My girlfriend's and I were shopping at Brandon mall and decided to go into Charlotte Russe, I was so impressed on how clean the store was and how friendly the staff was that I had to leave a review. I will be returning to shop more at that location.

What I am going to say in this review comes from the viewpoint of your average consumer/myself. Let me explain what happened today that completely changed my customer experience and state of being, and let me clarify, my initial experience was actually a positive one. I was greeted by one of the store employees who answered all of my questions with an amazing and outgoing attitude. (Her name is Olivia.) She helped me by explaining sales and bringing down clothing items that I wanted to try on that were out of my reach. She did not hound me either, and said if I had any more questions or needed help, to go to her and she would happily help, which I greatly appreciated. As I was looking around, I noticed a dress that was on a high rack that I could not reach, so I went to ask for help from the same girl (Olivia) who had helped me earlier, however, I caught the attention of a different employee who asked if I needed help with what I considered to be a bland expression. (Her name is Naara, and she is one of the store managers.) I was instantly uncomfortable, but I tried not to let it bother me too much. I asked her if she could bring down the dress that was out of my reach in a size small and she said yes. As she was working on getting the dress, I complimented her hair, to which she responded “thank you” and said nothing more. Her lack of expression caught me off guard, as I use compliments as a way to engage with other people and customers at my job alike. She brought down the size and I thanked her as she walked away. I looked around a bit more, then I went to ask for a fitting room, but I noticed that all of the employees were in a circle behind the register. They all appeared to be very serious, and it made me a bit nervous, so I waited for the tension to fade before asking for a fitting room, and remained standing at a relative distance. This is when I overheard a portion of what Naara said to the others. I did not hear the first portion, but the second portion was along the lines of “it was in the freaking book you guys read”. Her attitude was harsh, and in turn, I froze, along with the employees. The employees seemed hurt by what was said, especially one, who it seems that statement was mostly directed at. I was shocked. The attitude expressed, along with the use of the word “freaking” was beyond unprofessional and absolutely uncalled for. Their meeting ended, and one of the employees noticed I was standing there and helped me to a fitting room with a positive attitude, even with what had occurred. Her face was red and she seemed to be a bit frightened and embarrassed, although she did a great job at masking those emotions. Seeing this happen left me very upset. In my workplace, that level of disrespect is never tolerated. There is a mutual respect between the managers and the rest of the employees. Any problems are solved with nothing but professionalism, which is one of the many things you need to run a successful business. If Naara treats her employees like that in the middle of the store with customers around, I don’t even want to imagine the type of treatment those hard working girls endure behind closed doors. I am sure that what I witnessed was only a small fraction of what those employees go through on a day to day basis working with her. Not only is her foul mouth and attitude embarrassing for her, it is embarrassing for the company as a whole, who allow this treatment to happen. She, as any employee, is a reflection of the company, and this was a negative reflection. I suspect that the employees have little to no voice when it comes to reporting the way they are treated in the workplace, and I suspect this because I don’t believe this level of disrespect would be tolerated or endured if the employees did have a voice. They should be treated with respect and understanding and be given a bigger voice, not treated with disrespect and entitlement. Thank you for your time.

Woah! I always never find anything in my size! Got lucky today. They always got stuff on discount. Nice n pretty designs n cuts. Im a dresses gal but it's really complicated love cycle with me. Sense most places cater to "thin n cute" n not "Big and mean" like women like me. I gotta buy dresses i can fight in. Not a joke. Thats my #1 focus; a** licking, cute n practical. The 3 main focuses i look for in dresses. Yeah sure they got jumpers but i do not like them. I know i can turn them to dresses but nah. Store was clean the young lady up front was kind. She also recommended i use the txt member number to get discounts on top of my other discounts. Like win win!!
