Loyal customer for over 13 years. WAY before they changed names. Never once did I ask for help or assistance with any serious issue. Everyone was always cheerful& kind. UNTIL I DID need help with fraudulent activity involving my account. All the sudden- I’m invisible & actually told by the manager ‘maybe you’ll be happy banking somewhere else’. God is my witness- that’s what she told me. Keep in mind I’m as tactful as they come. That being said- WOW ! How far Southstate has fallen- shocking. No business ethic & drops loyal customers with no consideration for hard working families who CHOSE to support ‘local business’. Maybe this is due to recent coorperate merger or class action law suit currently against SouthState. ** But despite the reason -it’s wrong.

Dinosaur bank. Attempted to make a payment on my credit card using Apple Pay. They do not have Apple Pay. I returned with physical cash. The employees looked at me like this was scientifically impossible feat to pay with cash without a checking account with them. Please review competing modern bank practices. Even Best Buy can accept cash as payment on a credit card.

Absolutely horrible service tried to cash a 1000 check here and the lady said she put it in my account just to see -1000 in my bank account ? something don’t seem right I asked and she said my account was newly opened I corrected her and told her no it isn’t then she said maybe you need to go to bank where people know me ? when I’ve been banking with SouthState for years now…. Oh well I will bank some where else

I asked over the phone to have some of my transferred to my savings. She said not a problem. Go to use my card a couple hours ladder and they transferred all of my money and my card was declined . I miss sunshine state bank. I never had these problems
