I have been a patient for Dr. Coppa for over 20 years. I am retired Military, and while I really liked Dr. Coppa his staff is one of the worst EVER! I just recently had my annual labs done in December of 2022 and had a follow up on the 12th of Jan. 2023....received numerous texts and calls reminding me of my follow up to get results of those labs. I received yet another call on the 11th telling me Dr. Coppa will no longer be accepting my insurance (Tricare for retired military) as of Jan. 1, 2023. So basically they have kicked the military to the curb and the receptionist said I would have to pay to get my results. I WOULD DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMEND THIS OFFICE TO ANYONE. I would have given 0 stars but you have to give one to write a review. THEY are TERRIBLE.....beware and stay clear!!!!!!!!

Dr. Coppa and his associate Michael Dale PA-C have both been excellent to work with. Dr. Coppa is to the point and knows his stuff. I have a high regard for his skills and knowledge. Michael Dale has been super as well. I have never had a long wait to get in to see them, and even if I don't have an appointment they find a way to squeeze us in. My 15 year old son is a patient as well and he likes them very much. I feel fortunate to have such great medical care so close to my home. I had an amazing doctor before moving to Florida and never imagined I'd find anyone comparable, but I lucked out!

I have been a patient of Dr. Coppa for about 13 years. I have understood that he is affiliated with a urgent care facility for all of these years. I believe I have been patient over all these years waiting 1 to 3 hours in the waiting room because of emergencies, understanding this. I do not, however, condone cancelling appointment (which were made 3 months in advance) and then being told I need to wait an additional 3 months because my appointment was cancelled by the practice for WHATEVER reason. I was told I could see an associate. I have a doctor and I want to see him. I am so done with this practice and the craziness that comes with it. Do not affiliate yourself with a doctor in an urgent care facility...EVER

This doctor has minimal if any concept of time management. When booking my first appointment the office advised me he often ran late. I chose to try anyway, scheduling a first appointment for just after lunch. I arrived at 1pm on schedule to be told the doctor was running late and it would be "at least an hour" before I would see him. Of course noone contacted me in advance to tell me I would sit in the office and wait, or offered to reschedule. Keep this in mind if you are considering him for medical advice - unless of course you do not consider your time valuable. This medical practice does not consider your time valuable

We moved here from The Villages in Florida in April.Freedom Health assigned me to Dr Stephen Copa in Bradentonin May. My husband also was to see Dr. Copa as well. Here we arein September and we have never been seen by him. We do not callthat excellent medical care. My husband is 83 years old and hisappointment with Dr. Copa was on July 28. It was cancelled and hisnew appointment is not until November 2. ReallyThere is only one reason I will stay with the practice is due to Marisa Fullgrap. She follows up with me with patience and a clear interest in my health. She is a true asset to your practice.

I moved here from RI and after almost a year looking for a physician, I was told about Dr. Coppa only because we shared the same last name. So I inquired and had my records sent to his practice and have been a patient since. This review is very difficult to post but after leaving numerous messages for my doctor to call me with no return call, this review could be very beneficial for a future patient. I have had to call the office only 3 times in almost 4 years and each of those times it has been the absolute worst experience with a business, let alone my doctor in my entire lifetime thus far. I called the office at 8 am when they opened to ask for assistance because I was not feeling well. When I told the nurse on the other end of the phone that my pain was a 7 out of 10 because she asked that amongst other questions, she then asked me to wait for a call, which would be a tele-visit. I explained that I am a teacher the week prior to students returning and that this particular day was a hard one because pertinent visitors would be coming in the early afternoon. She assured me that I would receive a call within minutes. She asked that I have my temp/bp ready for when the doctor called me back. I did that at the school clinic and them waited until 11:30 am when I decided to call the office again. Of course being sick, I was not happy at all as this was the third incident during my time as a patient with each time asking to speak to my doctor and being hung up on three times in a row. My doctor never returned my calls. It’s apparent that this establishment does not care about their patients. I could call my doctor in RI anytime and he either picks up or calls me back within hours. Dr. Coppa’s assistant felt it to be a priority to reprimand me for “yelling” at her staff instead of looking at my situation of being sick and chose to hung up on me, stating that she would speak with the doctor. He never called me back. The office has my work and emergency contact information. They insisted that they called and texted me but there is no evidence of either one on my end. So if the doctor was concerned with his sick patient, then he would insist on finding me. As a result, I have a new physician. Stay away from this practice. The staff is incompetent and extremely unprofessional.

Having worked with physicians in the medical field for more than 30 years, I can state with certainty that Dr. Coppa and his team are top-notch care providers. He informed me of health scenarios of which no other PCP recognized, took time to tie medical incidents together to form a clear plan, and never gave the impression of being rushed. It is due to his thoroughness that the exam waiting time was about 30 minutes longer than scheduled. However I would happily wait the extra time knowing the high level of thorough care I will receive from this team.

I have been a patient of Dr. Coppa's for many years and like and respect him. But his office or Prime Care is failing to do its job. My latest appointment was made months ago. First, it sent me an email that indicated the physical address of his office was where I was supposed to go. I did not receive any information on doxyme. I have had in-person appointments with an optometrist and an oral surgeon, so it was not obvious to me that this appointment had to be virtual. I arrived at the office at the appointed time and was of course told the visit was supposed to be virtual. When I protested and referred to the email, the person on the desk (someone I had not seen before) shut the window and left me waiting. A very pleasant nurse, nurse practitioner or physician's assistant came out and listened to the situation. She asked me to forward the email to her, which I did.I went home and used the doxyme link I'd been sent while I was out. It did not work on my Safari browser. (I tried Chrome halfway through, which worked). There was no information about preferred browsers that I saw.)During the appointment, I think during either the pre-appointment discussion or with Dr. Coppa, I mentioned that he earlier had prescribed injectable B-12 but no hypos. During the my talk with the doctor he said he would prescribe something for acid reflux. Neither have been called in to my pharmacy a week later. (I will call your office today but .....)A day or so later, I arrived for scheduled injections of flu and pneumonia vaccines. I called to say I'd arrived and a pleasant young man came out promptly. He asked which arm and I said the window side was handy. I asked if there were reactions or side effects I should be aware of and he said no. This was the extent of information I was given about this treatment. That was Friday, Sept. 11, and I spent much of the following weekend in bed with a 101-degree fever, muscle soreness and an injection site that was much more painful than I'd ever had when receiving any injections. Internet searches showed that these were not uncommon side effects of either vaccine and it should clear up in a couple of days, which it has.Look, I know the virus has made everything different, but a relatively big company like Prime Care has to provide a higher level of service in different ways, especially after months. It's not that hard to:1 -- send emails a few days before an appointment with the _correct_ information about it.2 -- ensure that prescriptions are called in.3 -- send emails with information about medications administered by the practice.

I have been with them for 3 yrs now and I like Dr Coppa. However, the administration and office staff is he worst. I have to find another doctor as I can’t get things done when I call. Dr Coppas nurse doesn’t answer her phone nor does she call back. Can’t get test information or refills or forms filled out. Dropped off a month ago. I am done with calling them. Frustrated and will not put up with such blatant disregard for my concerns.

My parents did a virtual visit with Dr. Coppa, but with follow up care this is the worst provider service I have ever been experienced to.As a provider myself, I could never speaks speak or treat patients and their family the way Dr. Coppa allowed his staff to do. His staff repeatedly told us they were too busy and had too much to do... they hung up on us.... they even huffed on the phone, as if we were bothering them.... THIS IS THE WORST PROVIDER SERVICE.... Thank God you do not have to work about patient satisfaction scores... To: Dr. Coppa.... Yes the actions of your subordinate, reflect on you and your practice... To: Staff..... please change careers, because you are not fit to take care of people.... To: Readers..... Find a different doctor...

Dr Coppa was awesome! as always. I have been seeing him for years and he is always up front and to the point. Prime Care is also easy to access and appointments are seamless, no long waiting. The staff at Dr Coppa's office are very kind, professional and prompt, whether it's a walk in or you have an appointment.

Worst physician office ever. Received a positive covid test on Thursday AM and as of today (Monday) we have not heard anything from this physician regarding how to treat or what to do! We tried calling numerous times, Thurs, Fri and Saturday and NOT one return call since. This morning I called and the office manager was sick and said she didn't have a voice, she didn't apologize at all and was combative. When I expressed my displeasure with the service we received she hung up on me several times. I cannot believe this is how someone would treat any Covid positive patient. I'm disgusted to even give this doctor one star as the office and he do not deserve it at all.
