This was my second time bringing my dogs to be washed. Both times I made an appointment. Both times the wash area wasn't clean, and I had to wait. No one was in there, they just hadn't sprayed and cleaned the tubs for the next customer. When you have heelers, they are high strung and it's difficult to stand around with all the different animals in there.
Then I was helped by a rude blonde haired young clerk who just had a bad attitude. I just waited without saying anything. After giving me attitude about which tub I needed, she asks me if I need shampoo and I shook my head "yes." Then she asks me again and again I shook my head "yes." The third time she asked I asked her if she saw me shake my head and she said "yes, but it would be nice to get a response." I said, "I did respond. I shook my head yes 3 times. That is a response."
But the real issue here is: How did my dog washing customer experience become about HER and what she wanted, needed or approved of? I am paying for a service. I was nice and didn't get rude. I responded to her question. But she thought it was appropriate to give me grief. Honestly, I just felt hassled by a 20 something year old with no respect or people skills. I'm 60 years old. I don't need the hassle.
I think management needs to remind their employees that they work in customer service and that they need to be nice or at least cordial when working with people. And remember, there is a lot of competition in a free market society. So, if I feel disrespected by the staff, I can take my business someplace else. And by the way, that store is not crawling with business. If your employees don't want to work with customers, there are other jobs they could be doing in another line of work. But if they are there, teach them respect, to be cordial and when the tubs are not occupied, get them clean for the next customer. That doesn't seem hard to get!!! Just be nice.

Today, we brought our 3 dogs in and when we entered there were 2 very large dogs in the 3 bay wash area, so we walked around the store as we usually do. One of the dogs was washed rather quickly, but the second a large beautiful husky was taking a considerable amount of time. After waiting almost an hour, I asked the gentleman if it would be ok to bring our smallest in to get them started. He said no problem. So, I did and it was went well although I could see his dog got a little worked up....but not bad.So after some more time went by, I suggested to my husband that I take one of the dogs and he start the 3rd one in the 3rd was bay. When he brought our dog in both the Husky and our dog alerted and started barking and carrying on, so we agreed this was not the best idea and took the dog out to continue waiting so he could finish up. As I said, over an hour had gone by. It took him about another 15 - 20 minutes to finish up....he was doing a very thorough job on a dog with a very thick coat.He finished up his dog and my husband was bringing our dogs in when a couple came in with 2 dogs to wash. When I saw them I mentioned our dogs have short hair and would be very quick. At which point Evie came over and said we could not take up the 3 wash bays (though we had paid for 3) and we would have to take one out so this couple could put their 2 dogs in one. I told her this was not the best idea since it would be one person so one dog would be unattended and the dogs could act up. She told me I had no choice but to free the middle bay for the two dogs. Since this obviously wasn't going to work I told my husband we would just leave. She continued on about how our dogs could be tied to the gate and again I told her not the best idea. They are big dogs that had been stimulated for over an hour. She continued rattling when as I was preparing my one dog to leave I told her I had heard her suggestions and I did not agree with them and we would be leaving. I asked her for the manager and she advised she was the manager. Her badge said Evie - Shift Manager.I said well then I'm sure there is an owner and she told me to have fun with that.....but again this is not fun.Again, pet supermarket has always been my "go to" and frankly the customers were doing fine working together. Evie's little bit of perceived authority and obvious lack of knowledge about dogs created the problem.

Extremely poor experience. We often wash our 3 dogs here and it has always worked out fine. Sometimes we have to wait which is no big deal. Today, a gentleman was washing a large beautiful husky for an hour. We waited and then I thought let me wash our little dog in the middle sink, which I did. Then I went to take one of our other dogs from my husband and have him wash one in the other sink.....well both the husky and our dog started acting up, so we said we would wait until he was done to minimize the commotion....after all....he was there first. So, when he was done, my husband was getting ready to bring the other 2 in (both are short haired and quick washes) when a couple came in with 2 dogs. I mentioned to them we would be quick when the shift manager Evie told me my little one would have to leave the middle sink for them. I explained to her this would be much easier if we could just quickly washed our 2 which she said she wouldn't allow. So after waiting an hour to do the right thing we were not afforded the same courtesy. Very disappointing. All customers were handling this well together if she hadn't decided she had a little bit of authority she would have lost 4 sales and long term customers......we will never go back.

We had another fantastic experience at Petsupermarket grooming yesterday. Gigi does an excellent job and my two goldendoodles really love her. The prices are reasonable and the grooming parlor is neat and clean.

Normally, I’d give this place a five I shop there all the time I get my pets groomed there however they get an absolute one star now! Their grooming tub is broken and they won’t permit their Groomer to use the ones at the front of the store! So here we are holiday season everybody’s booked out for their doggy grooming so I have a dirty dog that I can’t have groomed because customer service is put below using a grooming, tub upfront.

All staff at this Pet Supermarket are very sweet, professional and helpful. I mainly use this Pet Supermarket for the wonderful groomer they have, Gigi. She is amazing with my two German shepherds and 2 rabbits. She is very sweet and patient with my male as he is very anxious and needs a calm and assertive hand. She tolerates big wet kisses from my female during grooming with a smile. She is truly amazing. I have also had to make last minute changes to our appointment and she has been very understanding and accommodating. She is truly a gem.?

Great store right by my new house. A special shout out to the in store groomer Gigi. Wonderful and welcoming from the first time I inquired about her services to every time I bring my dog into her. She is the first groomer my Tiny is actually glad to see every time we come see her. She has a great connection with all the animals she works with. Great job Gigi!!!!

The pet salon is fantastic and the store. The lady Gigi who runs it has such a kind heart for animals keeps them calm and does fantastic salon services. My dog adores her! I highly recommend for any salon services from nail cutting to buffing to hair cuts. I can't say enough about Gigii!

Super positive experience! A 2- hour drive, but worth the trip.Manager: Kaleb, ordered fancy/calico Orandas for me ... like wow! Returned again to purchase several others special-order, couldn't be happier. Huge Shout out to Ashlee, Evie & Julie! Keep up the fine work.Highly recommend this store!
