The calzone stuffed crust was very good. The service was also very good. If you want the sauce to pop, add Roma tomatoes as a topping.

Change the staff, they seem miserable. Almost useless to write a review, as the owner of this location doesn't care to respond to negative experiences.

This is the second time we’ve had this issue. We haven’t returned for a couple years because the value was so poor last time. This time just as bad. Minimal toppings, no sauce in the middle at all, and cheese scrimped around the edge. They must be saving some serious money doing this on hundreds of pizzas a day, imagine how much better the margins are?!We won’t be back to this location. Photographed is a large pizza, for frame of reference.

Jacob and the rest of his crew are awesome, and I greatly appreciate their professional attitudes and respect for each other and also to me. I placed a carry out, My order was a bit specific, and they aced it perfectly. I will surely return and have recommended this Papa Johns to all my family & friends.

Placed an order in advance. When I got to the store, it wasn’t ready. No explanations as to why. Not even a sorry. Horrible customer service.

Ordered ahead with 2 hours notice. Got there on time and they told me I was in the "make line" to come back in 20 mins. I came back to be told incase in the "male line" again and they asked me to come back again. I asked why it hadn't moved and she couldn't answer me..after about 45 mins I finally got my pizza. There was a guy there that actually ordered before me, only ordered one pizza, and was still waiting when I left. Do they apologize? No. Do they act like they care? No. Did they offer a partial refund or anything? No.

Worst run Papa John's ever. Ordered pick up for a set day/time HOURS before I picked up our carry out order. $62 for 3 pizzas and a cookie. Was asked 9 times what the name was on my order. Then what my order was.Was told they were super backed up.Then told 10 minutes more.Waited 60 minutes for my carry out order. One worker was complaining about no boxes being ready. Another said their label maker was broken. One was complaining that this was worse than the call center she uses to work at.And I have a car full of groceries that ate supposed to be cold.Never again!

Ah, Papa John's! The place where dreams of cheese, dough, and questionable toppings come true. My recent visit to this pizza paradise left me giggling, scratching my head, and questioning my life choices. But hey, that's what makes it memorable, right?Let me set the stage for this epic culinary adventure. It was a rainy evening, and my hunger had reached a level where I was willing to face an army of ravenous pigeons for a slice of pizza. Papa John's beckoned me with its tantalizing scent, promising an experience unlike any other. Little did I know, I was about to embark on a pizza odyssey like no other. As I stepped into the restaurant, I was greeted by an enthusiastic employee who seemed to have mistaken me for a long-lost relative. The sheer excitement on their face made me wonder if Papa John himself was secretly hiding in the kitchen, kneading dough like a ninja. But I digress. After placing my order, I decided to take a seat and observe the pizza-making spectacle. It was like watching a ballet, but with dough twirling and sauce swirling. Suddenly, the pizza acrobat lost control, and a freshly topped pizza went flying through the air like a Frisbee at a dog park. I kid you not, it almost landed in my lap! Talk about a cheesy surprise!Undeterred by the pizza missile, I managed to secure a table and eagerly awaited my pie. It arrived in all its glory, looking like a masterpiece from a toddler's finger-painting class. The cheese was like a waterfall of molten goodness, cascading down the sides of the crust in a way that would make Michelangelo proud. The toppings were scattered with such abandon that I felt like I was playing a delicious game of pizza hide-and-seek.But here's where things got interesting. As I took my first bite, I experienced a flavor explosion that can only be described as "pepperoni meets fireworks." The combination of flavors was so unexpected that I found myself laughing uncontrollably. It was like a party in my mouth, and everyone was invited, including that one pineapple slice that dared to join the festivities. All in all, my visit to Papa John's was an adventure I'll never forget. From airborne pizzas to unexpected flavor combinations, this place is the epitome of pizza chaos. If you're looking for a dining experience that will make you question the very essence of pizza, Papa John's is the place to be.P.S. Be prepared to catch a pizza or two if you visit. They have an impressive throwing arm back there!Disclaimer: No pigeons were harmed during the writing of this review.

I placed a to go order at the Lakewood Ranch Papa John’s location. I’ve eaten here numerous times. Pizza is pretty good. The only issue I tend to have is that it’s sometimes gummy so I generally ask for it to be cooked well done. Same thing tonight. I ask for it to be cooked well done and this is what I received. I do check my pizza before I leave the store generally but I didn’t obviously think to lift it and check the bottom. My children had already started eating it when we arrived home and complained to me about it being burnt! For someone to cook this this long, see it when they take it out the oven, box it and still provide it to a customer clearly seeing that it’s burnt is ridiculous.

Delivery came cold and 40 minutes late. I even pretipped very well to try and ensure good service. Very disappointed with the quality of the food we received.

-Ordered pizza for a friend, to THEIR apartment-Selected leave at door option, and specified in instructions "please leave at door, thanks :)"-Pizza was never delivered after I saw driver go through the gate on cam-Driver was rude and disgruntled upon calling to be let in.-I was extremely busy, and couldn't answer, a second time, so driver lied, marked delivered, and my friend never got his pizza. If the franchise owner is seeing this, stop hiring these cracked out mulch eating clowns, and your reviews will reflect better service.

We picked up and thoroughly enjoyed our pizza from the Papa Johns on Lakewood Ranch Blvd/SR 64. I have to say this was the most delicious one we've ever had from any Papa Johns! We will definitely be ordering from them again! ?

We ordered last night with Uber Eats and when prompted I made known our satisfaction. We got really sick from the food with upset stomach’s and y’all can draw your own conclusions to what I mean. Not one response from the manager or credit to the account, not even an apology. So not worth the money I was charged and not worth the service.I don’t like to give bad reviews but this location deserves it.
