“This location is reasonable priced for Veterans and usually quick. This time it took longer than normal being there were only 2 cars and 4 guys working but only 2 did the work. I still recommend them but be prepared as they always try to sell you filters even if it may not need changing.”

My first attempt to have Walmart install tires at another location was a debacle.
I purchased tires on walmart.com and had them shipped to the Osprey (Sarasota) Walmart. When I arrived to have them installed, the manager (who had already been informed that the car was a Tesla at least 24hrs prior) acted as if I was putting tires on a spaceship, telling me they didn't have the 'equipment' to install tires on the car. You see, Teslas (like some BMWs and a few other cars) have rubber jack pads for contact on the frame.
This is relatively common and has been industry standard for thirty years or more. It probably takes the tech an extra 2-3 minutes, maximum.
I informed the manager that the bumpers needed were in the trunk, and that I could install them ahead of time if he liked.
I was then told a series of hilarious comedic exaggerations, culminating with a statement that the lift at their shop was NOT capable of picking up my car. He also implied that there was some missing technology to communicate with the car that the shop did not have...
I was flabbergasted.
Mind you- I've worked in a shop with an identical lift, AND I have installed tires, in fact I have done so on a tesla.... so I knew this was a complete fabrication.
You put the bumpers on, you position the lift under the rubber bumpers, you lift the car just like a BMW.
Needless to say, I walked out and told him to return the tires. I started calling other walmarts.
Long story short- at the walmart I am now reviewing a friendly and intelligent young man give us a call while we were waiting for our tires to be installed, he wanted to discuss the jackpads beforehand.
He then completed our install promptly and with a great attitude.
