Mr. Build replaced 33 windows and a door in our house.
They did a redesign of the window and door layout to maximize the amount of glass and improve the views.
The new windows look very luxurious.
The work crew were great to work with and knowledgeable.
The new windows weathered tropical storm Debby and the hard rains we have had recently without leaking.

Mr. Build installed 14 PGT impact rated sliders for me. Eight of these sliders were upstairs and took some magic to remove the old sliders and elevate the new doors to the second floor. They took care of the furnishings without. Any damage and kept the installation clean. Joe the owner, along with Chris, Tim, Will and Ryan performed a good job for me. I recommend them for your project. Ralph

Mr Build recently replaced my windows and sliders at my home. Compared prices with several companies and selected Mr. Build based on product, price and reviews. Workers cleaned up after each day, very polite, clean and professional. Very satisfied with the overall installation. Highly recommended!

Mr. Build offered high quality products at an attractive price, with outstanding customer service. You can't beat that! Everyone we interacted with at Mr. Build was courteous, professional and did what they said they would do. All new windows was a huge selling feature for us. It is easy for us to give a 5-star review.

Mr Build installed 5 impact windows and two rolldown hurricane shutters on my house in 2023. The quality of materials and installation was great. I was so pleased I contracted with them again and will have the remaining 11 original (non-impact) windows replaced with impact rated windows next month (March 2024). Neil Southwood

Mr Build was great to work with. They were punctual, honest, do exceptional work and most of all were reasonably priced. I recommend them to anyone I know looking to have windows or doors installed.

We purchased impact windows from Mr. Build in 2012 for over $23,000.00 that were supposed to have a lifetime warranty, the paperwork even states that. I have an issue with one of the windows leaking water in the house. I am a handy person so I removed the window sill to see if I could figure out where the water was coming in. I saw an area where the vinyl had separated from the frame and light was coming through so I caulked that area and anywhere else that might be a potential problem but it was still leaking a little bit. I called Mr. Build and explained to them the issue and told them I wasn't looking to file a claim or have them fix it I just wanted a professional window person to come out and see if they could figure out where the leak was coming from and I would do the work. The lady on the phone told me the business had been sold in 2018 and that the prior owner used to just tell people the windows had a lifetime warranty but that they don't. Then she said she would have to charge me $75 to send someone out just to do a visual inspection but not really investigate it any further. I told her I was a painting contractor for 24 years I know how to visually inspect a window for caulking issues. Well I got nowhere, so before you have Mr. Build do any work for you be aware that they might be lying to you just to get your money, then you'll be on your own after that! The owner replied that I had a cracked frame (probably from hurricane Ian) and I tried to fix it but it still leaked. That is a down right lie! I never told the person on the phone that. Thanks to You Tube I discovered that the window is leaking from a faulty 45 degrees joint at the bottom of the window. It takes more than a $75 "visual" inspection to do some investigate work do discover issues sometimes. I would have gladly paid $75 for someone to come out and try some things to figure out the problem, but not just to look at it. I will say thank you for providing me with the window manufacturer's phone number as I am working with them to resolve this issue.

The quote I received was too spendy and I was quoted for no impact. Ended up going with another company whose high impact with a buy one get one special, ended up being about the same. Lifetime warranty.

My husband and I chose Mr. Build to install a new front door for our home. The salesman was great, we gave our deposit, they took the final measurements and we waited for the door to be installed. We were told the door would need to be modified to fit our home by the manufacturer and it could take a little longer, which was fine. We were surprised when it arrived early for installation and were happy to schedule. Unfortunately, the door had not been modified at the manufacturer and the installer did the modifications on-site, including cutting our foundation and “shaving” the top of the door which left it uneven. He also cut into our new flooring and left a large gap between the threshold and floor which he tried to fill with silicone. We had them return to inspect the work and had to reschedule someone to now place a new threshold transition and also attempt to fix the window moldings. A couple weeks go by and then we start to see gaps of light between the side of the door and the frame from the inside. After multiple unsuccessful attempts to fix the issue and being told it was a tech's last day and he “tried to make it work” we still have the same problems. I've asked what our options were since they aren’t fixing the problems and claim they will “make it right” but the issues are never fixed. I was told by Melanie we would not receive any amount of a refund and they will not pay for another door. Needless to say, after months of dealing with this we are extremely frustrated, beyond tired of the excuses, poor workmanship, and lack of accountability. To spend $3000 to have damage done to our foundation, new flooring, and having light, heat, and outside air coming through the door frame is ridiculous in Florida. We were better off with our previous $200 door from Home Depot.

Salesman Vince was the key to me choosing Mr Build from 3 estimates I received. Supply chain issues affected all parts of the building/renovation industries in the Sarasota area, and there was a months long wait for delivery beyond the original estimated time frame. But once the windows and sliders were delivered to Mr Build from the manufacturer, things went smoothly and the company was flexible about installation dates. The installation crew: Jason, Richard and Lois worked together beautifully as a team. It was like watching well choreographed dance. And they cleaned up well after themselves too. Inspection went smoothly. Nick put on the trim, final touches. Throughout the process Joe and Melanie were always pleasant to deal with. My impact/energy efficient windows make my home much more comfortable and quieter. I no longer hear the traffic noise from the interstate. I am very pleased!Service: Window installation
