I went today for my children to get their flu shots. The nurse would not listen to me when I was trying to ask her a question before my son received his vaccine. She continued to talk over me to my son about his shot. When I finally got fed up and got stern with her that I had a question first she finally listened. I then asked if it was safe for my son to receive the vaccine after a recent diagnosis of kawasaki earlier this year that led to an IV treatment. While in the hospital we were told certain vaccines would need to wait a year due to his immune system. So I wanted to make sure the flu shot would be safe. She mistook kawasaki for hand foot and mouth. Told me it would be fine. I felt like at that point she was an air head and told her we needed to make sure since she seemed to not know what kawasaki is. She asked the doctor and he in fact could not receive the flu shot. I feel like the nurses lack of knowledge and if I did not push for her to check with a doctor but my sons health at risk because she was willing to do the vaccine even with her lack of knowledge. This nurse is the reason we stopped going to the location to begin with but I figured for just a flu shot would be fine to go to the closer location. Imagine my disappointment to see the same nurse and see how reckless she still is. We won't be back and I will be filling a more extensive complaint

clinic on 15th street was a mess , had my appointment early in the morning and left 3 hours later. My daughter wants to go to school but now isn’t able to cause there’s only 2 hours left of school.

I can't recommend Dr GÁMEZ enough! My 5-year-old son was really anxious about his visit, especially because one of his teeth was bothering him Dr GÁMEZ MYRNA and the entire staff were so patient, gentle, and made him feel completely comfortable. They explained everything to him in a way he could understand and turned a potentially scary experience into a positive one, and the care they provide is top-notch. If you're looking for a dentist who truly cares about children, this is the place to go!
Also JOY FELTON has been amazing with my son. They take the time to listen to my concerns and always make sure Allen feels comfortable during his visits. Whether it's routine check-ups or addressing specific issues, is thorough, compassionate, and incredibly knowledgeable. They’ve been a huge support in my son health journey, and I trust their guidance completely. I highly recommend to any parent looking for a caring and skilled pediatrician! This team have it all. Would give 0 stars if I could. Lisa is a condescending piece of work. Canceled my month out appointment after calling one time at 9am on a workday. When I called back immediately they didn’t pick up for over an HOUR of phone calls STRAIGHT. 30 phone calls, no answer. When I finally got through she noticed my voice from all the voicemails I left in between , she then told me she filled the spot and didn’t pick up because she was busy with customers and they take care of people there first, which is a lie if she was able to listen to my voicemails first. I told her I called back IMMEDIATELY and she then told me “no sir it was five minutes later actually”. So now not only do I have to pull my son from therapy (3 year old with autism) I have to also miss work. This place is such a joke.

Dental place NEVER picks up phone, and I have tried for several weeks, at least calling once a day at different times (in case they were on lunch/break/potty ect). It's like noone works there.

Both of my children who are now adults were patients here for the majority of their entire childhoods. Assoye Belony, my son's PA, is especially kind, patient, caring, and professional. She takes her time with him, although I am sure she is very busy. She always listens to my concerns, and SHE calls me back when test results come in. SHE herself, people! Not the nurse! THAT is care and concern. He also sees Joy Felton, a nurse practitioner, and let me tell you, she is amazing as well! In the evenings, there is a walk-in clinic that starts at 5:00 PM, and that has been a GODSEND for this working mama. Now that my youngest is 18, I will be sad to move on from this place!

My kids appt was at 2pm and 240pm for both my kids. I got there at 130pm. It took me 30 mins to get there. I made to sure leave with plenty of time.
I found out that my kids birth certificate was needed since they are new patients. Not once in the email and text reminders did they say kids birth certificate was needed.
I didn't have it in my notes from talking to the original person who made my appt that I needed a birth certificate.
I told the staff the birth certificate is at my apartment 30 minutes away. Is there a way I can upload it to the portal after the appt. They said no. I told them the health department has a copy of the birth certificate can I have them fax it over. It took a while for it to get faxed over. After filing out form and what not.
They asked Mr me if I had somone at home who can take a pic for me and send it over. No I don't I am by myself.
The staff kept waiting for the birth certificate. I had a panic attch at 23ppm after I been so patient trying to get the birth certificate to them.
Once I walked out 3 staff members came to me and said you can go to the health department and get a copy it's like 10 mins from here.. really? Why didn't you tell me that before? Instead of me waiting an hr after I I arrived to tell me. After i just to hoops to get the health dept to fax it over. then you also tell me if you make it back by 330 pm we can see your kids.
We if I was told theat at 130pm. When I was 30 mins early for the kids appt I would have had more than enough time to go to my appartment and get the birth certificates and come back.
So anyway I go to the health department I have to wait on them. I don't get back till 345pm back at the office. Since I was 15 mins late i can't been seen and need to be reschedule.
I find out there there is a location closer to my appartment than the one I was originally at. The health department is wondering why birth certificate is even needed. I said cuz we moved out of state.
So me being me I decided to gps my way to the closer location. It let me me a neighborhood.
I call to figure out where exactly they located. I was given the wrong address for that location.
Also I found out from the medical records since I called them that they did receive the birth certificate at 217pm. But it was blurry. No one told me or the front staff that. There for, it was not used and put into their system. Since they don't get their fax in person it goes thru a system and shows in their computer.
My question Is, if the birth certificate is needed for new patients why was it not required to be uploaded to the portal that they require you to sign up for?

Awesome staff, I came in as a walk-in really late. They still took there time, front desk girls, nurses, pharmacist and doctor to make sure my sick baby was well taken care of. They were God sent, they deserve a five star.

It is my 2nd time that I visit this Health Unit. It motivated me to ask if bb could be evaluated for the specialty of Dentistry and if I found an answer according to what I was looking for. They speak in Spanish and they attended to me in less than 10 minutes. Very satisfied with the visit I made.
