Dated. Carpets in the hallways and rooms are dirty. Bathroom cleaning is not good enough.

I gave this Hotel two stars because they say “breakfast will be from 8:00 to 10:00 and they already start taking everything off and turning all the lights of from 9:15 to 9:30 the rest of the hotel part was fine but I was hugely disappointed to find out that this was like that. Since this is what you are practically depending on in the morning this isn’t ideal.

Very nice hotel and staff. Room was very clean, comfortable and quiet. The rooms are large with plenty of walk around space, and shower pressure was great. The front desk staff was very nice upon check-in and a special shoutout to Maggie at the front desk who was extremely accommodating and friendly. I will absolutely be staying at this hotel when I return to town.

I paid $433 to stay for one night, a Friday, at a Hyatt Place in Lakewood Ranch/Sarasota. I had a late check in, and Micheal, the desk attendant, was fantastic. He was quick and to the point and had two bottles of water in my hand before I could even ask. Once I got to my room I tried to use the TV, but the system was not working. After attempting to follow onscreen prompts and unplugging the cords for a reset, I contacted Michael who inspected the inputs and reached the same conclusion: the system, although recently updated, was not working. Considering I paid nearly the same ($445) for 3 nights in Chicago's north loop I am disappointed, to say the least, in my overpriced visit to the Sarasota area.
I expect more for $433 per night than a TV with no signal regardless of my check in time. Michael is the only part of this experience that was up to the standard I have come to expect from my time with Hyatt. If this is what I should be expecting for $500 per night it may be time to consider Marriott or Hilton. Shame on you Hyatt.

We were only staying one night to add a visit to Sarasota to our trip. This hotel is very convenient to the highway just at Sarasota. We were very pleased with the overall experience, the people, the room, the breakfast and pool. It gave us the impression that they had thoughtfully considered what we would need. Even had English Breakfast decaf tea for us tea drinkers!
Rooms: Our king bed room came with a very nice sitting area actually positioned so you could see the TV well. The bathroom was also very clean new and nice.

If you're staying in this area Lakewood ranch and all that you're right by the University Town center as well lots of food options lots of shopping trader Joe's and the mall. Staff was incredible and helped us out quite a bit It was actually a very severe tropical depression hurricane that was going on and they were just wonderful about everything.

Needed a hotel that I could bring my dogs to on a trip to put my Mother in Law to rest. Needed to do it on a budget, times are tough right now. We were able to have two rooms to fit our family and pups comfortably and got to enjoy the pool and hot tub. Thank you for making a difficult trip easy on the stress.
Rooms: Deluxe rooms perfect for family, dog friendly, comfortable beds and pillows
Walkability: Restaurants within walking distance

Room was clean and spacious. The only gripe was that it was not explained that it was an ADA room at check in and I would have preferred to have had a choice so we could have a normal shower. However, apart from that no complaints. Also it has a 11am checkout which we liked compared to the standard 10am.
