Lots of books to choose from for all ages

I’ve been going to this bookstore for many years. It’s a very nice environment, they have a sizable inventory and usually a good amount to choose from, for me. With the exception of one person on one occasion, the staff is always very friendly.
My only complaint has been the pricing. While the Sarasota (Clark Rd) and Venice Goodwill Bookstores have maintained their pricing as pretty much the same for the past decade, this Bradenton store seems to up their prices every year. The other stores average book costs $2.99-$3.99, with some more expensive exceptions, this store is mostly like 2 dollars more per book. That’s still well within the range of used bookstores pricing though, so that’s not my complaint. My main complaint is that they don’t actually price check. They just put high prices on “pretty books.” So they’ll put $20-$25 price tags on things like used (marked, scuffed) Barnes and Noble leatherbounds (which are $25 brand new from the B&N). All of the larger or pretty books almost always cost more than what they can be found for online. It’s unfortunate, but I would still recommend going to this bookstore, just don’t let the pricing in the classics section upset you.

I always go here to get books when I'm in the area. It's a must visit if you love to read and on the lookout for books that don't cost too much

I love this little bookstore. It is so cozy, like an old library with chairs and beautiful shelving. They are so organized and always have something you need to take home.

I love the other two locations in Nokomis and Venice, but this one has a really strange vibe. I've even visited at different hours of the day and each time I feel really uncomfortable.
