My daughter was in need of a new pair of running shoes to train for a 1/2 marathon.
The sales associate was very knowledgeable and helped give insight on stability, cushioning and a cross between both. He offered her to try the shoes on the treadmill to get a better idea what a run would feel like in the 2 different styles she was picking from. That helped her decide what best fit her needs. Because of her positive experience I’m going back today to find a pair for myself and my brother!

I went in to buy a new pair of running shoes. I had never tried a pair of Altra running shoes but Alice insisted I try them since I have wide feet and they have a wide toe box, and given I prefer minimal to medium support so I can feel the ground, she figured I would like the zero drop feature. I tried on a few variations that were okay but not great and I was ready to compromise because I needed to update my shoes.
Alice swore that based on my outlined specifications that I would love the Escalante Racers but they did not have my size at the store (I wear a 14 wide which is an uncommon size). Instead of letting me compromise, she told me she couldn’t sell me shoes that she thought wouldn’t meet my needs and informed me that I could instead order the Altra shoes on the Altra store website and return them in 30 days if I didn’t like them. I told Alice that if she was right about these shoes, I would write her a glowing review (I live out of state so I can’t go back to tell her in person) and safe to say, she was right. These shoes are great and I did not return them. Any salesperson deserves praise who listens that attentively to my needs and has the integrity to disregard the commission from a sale because they want me to have the perfect product. If you live in Bradenton, go buy some shoes from Alice to make up for the sale I couldn’t give her. She deserves it and she’s awesome.
Specifically my shoe review, Escalante Racers are not for everyone and there is an adjustment period. I used to wear a shoe with medium support with drop and these are trending toward low support and have zero drop. Lots of foot, calf and hamstring soreness at first but I tapered my mileage and workouts to give my body time to adjust and now they’re great for walking/running but average for cross training. I started developing great toe pain with my old shoes and the wide toe box on these shoes is a game changer. It’s a crime that we make shoes with narrow toe boxes. I will never go back now that I know better. My feet feel brand new.

Me and my sister walked in here with intentions to buy a new pair of Hokas. We asked the employee to help us try on a pair of shoes we really liked. She kept telling us that they were very uncomfortable and wouldn’t fit well. but i tried on my size 7-7 1/2 and i tried on both sizes and they both fit very comfortably. I really liked them and they fit my feet perfectly fine. but she kept telling me they wouldn’t be comfortable after a couple of wears. I wanted to buy them but she coerced me into thinking the shoes would be bad. I was manipulated. I walked in with the hopes of buying new shoes and walked out disappointed in the service. I will not be visiting this location ever again.

Within 8 days of purchasing a pair of shoes for $164.95+ tax, I saw they clearly were a defective product. (See photo attached) The return was refused unless I paid another $30.00 to join the club.
Needless to say, I will not shop at this establishment again.

The worst customer service I've experienced in my 38 years living in Bradenton. I took my bike in to have the chain ring replaced. That was 4 weeks ago. During that time, I have been promised it would be ready multiple times. Each time - I have had to call and be told there is a problem with their distributor - the part is on order. I've pleaded with the rep - It's a chain-ring - order it from Trek, or Amazon, or Performance Bikes - wherever. Their response is "we have to use our corporate distributor." B.S.! But here is why I decided to write this review - each time I have called, I have asked to speak to a manager. Each time I have been told he's with another customer, or he is not in. Each time I have asked for a call from the manager. I HAVE NEVER RECEIVED A CALL BACK! At least 4 times I have asked to speak to a manager. I've been told I'd get a call as soon as he is finished with a customer - No call. I've been told as soon as he gets in - Nope.The latest is that I was promised the bike would be ready Friday. Of course, it wasn't and no one called. But on Saturday an employee called to tell me the bike is ready... EXCEPT FOR THE CHAIN RING! I could not believe it. I said but That's why I brought the bike in. So again, I STRESSED I WANT A CALL FROM THE MANAGER, that was yesterday morning. Has anyone called me back? Nope. I bike and run, I actually bought another bike so I can continue riding. Think I bought it from Fit2run? I would never consider doing business with this place again. Ever. Oh, BTW, I have ordered the chainring myself. It will arrive next week. I guess they don't have the internet at F2R. When I take it in, I plan to watch as they replace the old one. What a terrible experience.

Online ordered placed on 7/13/24 and delivered on 7/18/24. Very competitive pricing, best I could find in the colorway that I wanted. Shoebox arrived heavily damaged but the shoes were still in perfect shape. First time ordering from them, but definitely would consider again. Thanks!!! A++ Five ?

Like watching paint dry. Empty store. All 5 employees seem clueless to all things running and are in a hurry to do nothing. This is not a sprint, it’s a 100 mile race ?

Molly was awesome, fabulous customer service and we left with a terrific pair of stability shoes and much needed arch support inserts. Honestly, this was the best customer service experience I’ve had anywhere in years and I’m pretty particular. Way to go!

I recently took my bike in for a tune-up and repair. Excellent service! Everyone in the Bike Shop was friendly and professional. They started working on it the same day I dropped it off and everything was completed promptly.

So with this place, they’ll always pop up first when you do a Internet search for shoes. I received my product, but I have to say you need to call them to get a tracking number. That’s the only thing. Other than that, everything was delivered as promised.

Very impressed by the selection and personnel. Spoke with a gentleman (about 40) that had an owner mentality if he isn’t the owner. Explained availability and got me in a great running shoe.
