After receiving positive feedback from a few past clients, we hired David McCarthy Moving to take our household belongings from Florida to Michigan. That proved to be one of our better decisions. The movers were courteous and careful, the price was reasonable and the pickup and delivery were on time. Just today, we finished unpacking and inventoried everything- nothing was missing or damaged. I used Dave twice, once for a local move and the other was interstate. I've moved more than 20 times over the years, and never experienced anyone like Dave McCarthy. He's honest, meticulous, careful, effectively manages his and his crew's time, and goes out of his way to please his customers. His prices are exceptionally fair. I unhesitatingly recommend Dave McCarthy moving.

Dave and his national network of professionals are THE BEST. He coordinated one-way moves for both my inlaws and my immediate family over 1K miles without a single issue. Dave and his team communicate well, work incredibly fast, and know their way around every situation. I will continue to recommend this group to anyone looking to relocate in the future.

Personal, very experienced and professional - Dave impressed me even before I met him by taking the time to drive out to my new house to understand the layout and stairs. He then drove 3 hours to meet me and follow me around the home I was leaving after 20 years while I pointed out what goes and what does not. He is smart and very well organized. His was not the lowest bid, but it was very fair and there were no surprises on the back end. Working with someone with so much experience and a solid work ethic was very important to me. When it came to the week of packing and moving -it was all made easier by the confidence his team inspires. Chase, Daniel, Cory and Joel all work well together and Dave is right in there with them. They are not 'day labor' but professionals who understand not only how to pack (and UN pack) but the care for finer furniture, art, rugs, taxidermy, tchotchkes etc. They are attentive to detail and pointed out to me a number of 'imperfections' in either my old furniture or decorative items. Some I was aware of (like a broken book end or the not quite secured tabletop) and a few others I was pleased that they noticed and took the time to be more careful with a piece that was already fragile. Needless to say, there was no damage to any of my prized possessions during this move!Dave and his team also understand the organization of a home (where boxes and case goods go on the final end) as well as how to properly lay a rug and handle furniture. Even an easy move is stressful to the homeowner and they are very patient and thoughtful. I was very pleased with their service and highly recommend David McCarthy Moving.

Packing and moving can be a stressful process; working withDave and his employees the stress was removed. They are theprofessionals and it shows in the quality of work they provided.They were on time, used quality materials to wrap and protectour furniture, art and other decor. They arrived at our new homeon time and with care set our new home in place.This is a professionally run business with respect and kindnessprovided throughout the experience.

I DO NOT recommend this company. Broken glass in a cabinet which so far has not been replaced and repaired 8 WEEKS later. I am unable to complete unpacking. Several boxes and a garage cabinet infested with ants while in storage which resulted in hiring a pest control expert. David McCarthy has shown no interest whatsoever in rectifying and resolving the situation and has treated me with total disrespect.To add to this review ….. despite STILL NOT having the glass replaced in my cabinet I couldn’t look at the boxes any longer so unpacked them. Only one had a resident roach so I was fairly fortunate. I’m missing a small card table and an outdoor stool cushion but if anyone has lost a large yellow chair cushion then let me know as I have it!!There are plenty of honest, professional movers out there so I suggest you use one of them and avoid this lot.

We departed Lakewood Ranch in 2019 with the help of David McCarthy and his team of professionals. The move was streamlined, well communicated and stress free. We have just returned to Lakewood Ranch all the way from Pennsylvania, and David was the one & only phone call. When we decided to move back four years later from start to finish in less than 30 days with not one issue to report . It was simply flawless! So for anyone thinking success is difficult to find , let us be the ones to calm your apprehension and say just call David McCarthy ! You won’t regret it

We had three men, Joel, Daniel and Chase. They knew exactly what they were doing, worked extremely hard in the Florida heat, very polite, professional, efficient and friendly. And, I happened to catch up to them and followed behind them driving for a bit - they were careful, came to complete stops and used blinkers even! So glad our friends referred us to David! Thank you for making moving day so much less of a hassle!

We moved from Pa to Florida and Dave and his team was fantastic, they packed my house up and stored our belongings until our house was ready in Florida. They also have a storage units in Bradenton, can’t say enough how easy they made this for us. And after moving and storage, not one thing was broken !!! I hear so many people complain about broken stuff. I would highly recommend this company and would use them again !!!!

We have used Dave McCarthy and his company twice in two years and BOTH times have been beyond impressed. From Dave’s fair prices and sensible scheduling to the care and efficiency in which his team works. Joel, Chase, John and Daniel worked together like a finely tuned machine. I had initially spoken with a moving company based out of Fort Lauderdale. While I had the representative on the phone I checked the BBB and there were horror stories one after the other. They also wanted money that day. Don't fall for that scam! I feel lucky to have found David McCarthy Moving. He is the real deal! David has been in the business for a long time. His guys loaded the truck and moved our belongings into a/c storage. When we had closed on our new home 1400 miles away, David arranged the delivery date and showed up himself. Nothing broken and totally professional the entire time. Moving is very stressful. Go with McCarthy Moving from the get go. You won't be sorry!

If you're looking for a moving company - this is who you want to call!!!! I highly, highly recommend Dave McCarthy and his team! I recently worked with Dave McCarthy for a cross-country move, and this was by far the best experience I've had with a moving company. Dave was responsive and provided all the information I needed while I was planning. The day of the move I was very stressed, and when Dave and his team came, they brought the best energy and played some music while they quickly and carefully collected my things. At delivery Dave's son, Chase, was phenomenal - he patiently worked with me every step of the way to make sure that both my furniture and my boxes were exactly where I wanted them. One small item was damaged and Dave took care of this right away, which is all I could ask for. The entire team was so kind and completely professional. I'm so grateful to the entire team, and could not recommend them more highly!!! Truly the best experience! This is the team you want to work with - trust me!!!

Dave is a straight shooter. He offers a timely follow up to our initial inquiry. Fair estimate of what the move entailed followed by a very affordable estimate. We set the date and each of us was ready when the move day arrived. Two strapping young men showed up following a 30 minute heads up. There was a whole lot of “Mister” and “ Ma’am.” These brothers represented their employer Pat an A+ level. They were careful and even offered a solution to a repairing a piece that had been damaged by a previous mover. They worked without stopping for 5 hours. This is a LOCAL business hiring local people. I offer my highest endorsement
