I recently placed an order for a cupcake cake at Publix, and unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. Sara, who took my order, was not pleasant to speak with. The interaction felt rushed, and there was no effort to confirm or clarify the details of my order. When I arrived at the bakery on 11/13/24 at 9:30 AM to pick up the cake, the order was completely wrong.
I brought the issue to the bakery’s attention, and the manager came up smiling as if the situation were amusing. She claimed that I was unclear about what I ordered, but it’s the responsibility of the staff to ensure that the order is correct, especially when there’s any confusion. If I said "cupcake cake" instead of "pull-apart cake," it should have been clarified. Instead, the entire bakery staff stood there laughing and smiling, as though my frustration was a joke.
This experience ruined my daughter’s 5th birthday, all because an impatient worker couldn’t be bothered to take the time to confirm the order. Not once did anyone offer an apology or suggest a solution. I’ve had issues placing orders for my children’s birthdays every single year it’s always the same problem.
Sara, your behavior was rude and insensitive. I don’t understand how you became a manager with such a lack of professionalism. You could of said “I’m sorry” or “I misheard what you requested.” It takes two seconds to confirm the details, but your attitude was dismissive, and you clearly lack any customer service or empathy skills. The mischievous smile you gave as if you didn’t care was truly unprofessional. I hope your day improves because it’s obvious you’re unhappy in your job, and it shows.

Hot Entree area had flies on the food. I'm sure there is a way to cover the food and still maintain the food hot? This is unsanitary and this is how people get sick.

Finally they finished rebuilding our publix!
Its so nice and cleaner now. Quite bright inside like all the newly built ones are.
Parking lot is new but I'm not a fan of the 1 way only roads now.
Deli and sandwich areas are great. Little cafe to eat in.
Bakery could be bigger
