I went in for a few items. The selection is fantastic. Prices feel high, but prices are going up everywhere, so that's not a this store only issue. The self checkout and checkout in general is horrible!!!A few things to note:1. No one is trained in how to use these machines or scan the different types of items or put in a coupon if it doesn’t scan properly.2. There is only 1 person standing there trying to help the 4 people trying to scan their items.3. For those of us who have large items or heavy items, it's very hard to maneuver everything to be scanned while holding the scanner, and there is almost no space to put the items on a counter.4. I asked if the employee could please check my items for me and had to wait until everyone else finished with self checkout so he could leave that area (having 2 people at checkout would have been much more helpful (then again in the whole store we only saw 3 employees and 2 were stocking shelves).5. Although it was not a major issue, the employee scanned an item 3 times from my cart when I only had 2 of them, so I had to come back for a refund. (He told me if it was self they'd wouldn't be able to refund me so easily since they don't see wat people scan and pat for in that area.)In general, self checkout is a huge issue that way too many stores are doing. While I will be back, I will not buy in store unless it means I can pay online, then just pick my items up from now on to avoid the whole experience.Again, Michael's is a great store and place to get crafting supplies. My review is only about the checkout experience, which dampened the whole experience for me and my child when we went for crafting supplies.

Michael's is a large craft store. I like it because it's well-organized and well-stocked. It also provides framing services. Staff is usually helpful. And, there is a lot of parking. I think the prices are high but that's life.

I know that we are in the holidays season, but they still need to highly get it together. I placed my order this afternoon for same day delivery, waited all day & I got no update so I went into the store at 8 PM the manager on duty said he seen my order he just didn’t pick it yet. He stated he can cancel my order, give me a refund and I could just get the items at the store. I was already there so I said I might as well. He told me he would bring the items up for me, so I said OK I waited 30 minutes then I asked him where is my items? He said oh I thought you were going to get them. I just ended up getting my items went to the front there was a line you have one girl behind the register eating food as if she was in a break room and the other girl with the glasses and the curly hair was actually helping. Michaels, you need to get it together the lack of efficiency, customer service and the fact that I have to wait 30 minutes to get six items is crazt.

I've died and gone to Christmas heaven! They actually have cellophane gift bags that say "Merry Christmas"! The assortment of Christmas garlands and wreaths is spectacular. They also have Christmas storage boxes. Today is Dec. 13 and the Christmas stuff was already 50% off! The young man cashier was also very nice. They also have other unrelated stuff, like decor divided by various color schemes, so it's easy to find what you're looking for. A kid, teenager or even college student might like it for their room.

I was in this store yesterday. It's a well stocked store and I was able to find what I needed. And at a good price. The reason for the 2 star review is when I went to check out there was a customer with his dog on a leash. This customer didn't appear to be blind nor disabled. The dog wasn't wearing any type of vest. My guess is this dog is a household pet. Apparently the store manager isn't aware of the ADA policy on service animals. Here it is:The following is taken from the ADA website. Service animals are defined as dogs that are individually trained to do work or perform tasks for people with disabilities. Examples of such work or tasks include guiding people who are blind, alerting people who are deaf, pulling a wheelchair, alerting and protecting a person who is having a seizure, reminding a person with mental illness to take prescribed medications, calming a person with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) during an anxiety attack, or performing other duties. Service animals are working animals, not pets. The work or task a dog has been trained to provide must be directly related to the person's disability. Dogs whose sole function is to provide comfort or emotional support do not qualify as service animals under the ADA.The last line says it all, Dogs whose sole function is to provide comfort or emotional support do not qualify as service animals under the ADA.Shame on store manager and staff for letting this happen.I hope the health department takes notice of this. This matter needs to be taken seriously.

I couldn't find anything I needed. Asked for help once, and she didn't even try to help me. I did make a purchase and I told the cashier I needed more stuff but couldn't find them. He just shrugged it off

This Michael's is a bit depressing. They hardly have much in stock. The yarns looks used and dirty. The selection looks as if they were going out of business. Staff members were nice and friendly.

Boynton Beach, FL location If you go there for framing, ask to work with Jeffery. You don't want Terry helping you. Terry likes to chomp on gum while talking to you. At one point she said to our group, "OK, let's make a decision. I'm getting hungry." We all stared in disbelief, waiting for her to say she was joking. She wasn't. She handled the artwork with her bare hands. We had to ask her to remove her smudges/fingerprints. Her demeanor is abrasive, unprofessional and simply unpleasant. Terry made of pack up and leave the store. Please train this person to do her job and not treat us as some sort of interruption.
