Six months ago, they scanned my card twice, I returned everything & got a refund. I showed the manager, my bank statement showing more came out my account than was refunded. Fast forward yesterday 03/11/2024 the cashier swiped my card multiple times, I told her after it was approved she swiped it. She says that’s what you have to do. I was charged for 2 items when I only purchased 1. I go up there & try to tell the cashier, but she insists that swiping the card multiple times works, when she needs to exercise some patience. So I’m writing this review because I’m tired of dollars general employees ripping me off!!! Nuff said?!

They close the store an hour early at 9 instead of 10. I’m guessing due to the high crime area, it’s a safety precaution but I’m not sure if corporate is aware or paying them for the additional hour bc the door signs and google profile state 10. The items ALWAYS ring up more than they are marked, promotions and digital coupons often aren’t applied properly, many of the employees are ratchet and have nasty attitudes, including their “shift managers”. They seem to act as if they have some high level corporate position and don’t get paid a few more dollars per hour to do 10x the work.. this store is a mess. It’s in the hood and demographic is ?Avoid at all costs. The neighborhood is dangerous as well. Gentrification fail w this one..

Went there at 9h21 a young lady was at the door stopping me from going in saying the store was close .Don't waste time going to that place.
