I just moved here from NY, I had called specifically to find out the cost of an office visit and it was 69. I got there and my two dogs needed vaccinations. No discussion of prices before they decided to do stuff with my dogs they offered me blood work and I DECLINED. Yet I walked out of there with over 550 dollar bill. They did blood work anyway for heartworm with out discussing with me prior and said the other blood work I declined was an additional 200 plus per dog but they didn’t do that bloodwork but still did other bloodwork for heartworm or something like that . I found it super rude and unprofessional . I have never had a vet bill in NY that expensive and I won’t be going back. Maybe I should have seen the owner doctor maybe he would have been a bit more upfront with cost so I could make an informed decision and not be take. Advantage of

I have been taking my cats to Dr Martin and his team for 23 years and they have been absolutely fabulous.

Dr Martin has cared for my dogs since 2014 and even though I have moved 10 miles west of the offices I continue to entrust him with all of my veterinary needs. He goes above and beyond to treat them as if they were his own pets and I have gone through many health crises with him directing what needs to be done to resolve the what needs to be done. He has expert specialists to refer out care when that is indicated. The office staff has always been responsive and courteous. I would highly recommend entrusting your pet to his care

There are not enough words to describe my feelings about Colonial, specifically Dr. Robert Martin. All three of my past dogs and my current puppy have been and are patients with them, over the span of almost 15 years. I trust this man implicitly, and would never EVER consider going anywhere else for my babies' care. Also, the staff, nurses, techs and basically everyone there is super awesome, extremely thorough, and just as nice as they can be. These people have seen me at my absolute worst concerning the most difficult decisions Pet Parents have to make sometimes. They are simply the best!!!

Dr. Martin takes such wonderful care of our dogs. His staff is always thorough and professional. I would recommend them for any pet needs. And this comes from someone who has some pretty high maintenance dogs.

My family and I have been going to Colonial Animal Hospital for generations, Dr. Martin and his staff has always gone above and beyond for myself and my family and my dogs. Dr. Martin and his staff has never made me feel like a number I feel like I’m part of their family I know when I walk in the front door my dogs are the most important thing for them. When my girl was sick, he even called me on his days off to check on her and was doing research on his own time for me. I am truly blessed to have Dr. Martin as my veterinarian. His staff is amazing and has true compassion. Thank you, Colonial Animal Hospital .

dr Martin is only interested in one thing... not your pet. your credit card! he is incompetent. his partner wouldn't give a second opinion . my dog was throwing up, severe diarhhea, ear infections. test upon test ... couldn't find anything wrong. don't use this vet! run don't walk away .

First impression is that this animal hospital is old, dirty and in a very bad, dangerous part of town. The office itself feels unclean, and the front desk staff was not pleasant. The vets vary in competence - depending on which one is available. I did not like the founding vet, Martin, as his ego was too big for the exam room. He bad0mouthed other vets in town, and bragged about how wealthy his clients were. It was offensive to listen to this man. Overall: bad (old hippie) vibes, nasty front desk staff, crummy office furniture, bad location next to a weed dispensary. This place was nothing special, and did not live up to the hype. It was also grossly over priced. So many vets to try - this is not "the one".

Had an amazing first visit, I will definitely be coming here for future visits. All staff were very wonderful, caring, and compassionate. They delivered the best care to both my Pomeranians. They go above and beyond to make sure your pet is happy and healthy! Thank you guys for everything !
