We have come here for over 5 yrs, with 2 poodles , loved Dr Patterson. Sadly, after today I will not. I brought Puffin in today because she has a little cough and I showed her the video and she did not even address that at all, horrible vet. My husband passed in February and now his poodle baby is mine. She’s 16 yrs and 4 months old. My husband chose not to spay her, she now has a tumor on her chest and limps bc she hurt her leg yrs ago. We talked with Dr Patterson about all this, and he was not forceful like Stephanie Dowdy today. Now at her age Dr Stephanie Dowdy wants to amputate her leg , spay her and remove the tumor. She was soo rude and said such inappropriate things I’ll never go back. I’m sad to have to have a new vet bc of her stupidity. She even said “ would you ignore a tumor on your chest ? “. I had breast cancer , 2 surgeries and radiation. So uncaring about my pet and me too. She put down Dr Patterson for how he practiced. If she’s not there someday I will return. I’m getting another pet next week so they lost 2 patients. She made me feel like I’m not a good pet mom. I’m
The best. I am about quality of life. She even commented if I could afford all these things and if not then I should euthanize her. Very cold and I think all about the money. Not one friend or relative thinks I should do all that to a 16 yr old baby. If she stops eating or drinking yes. I had to make that decision 3 yrs ago for my Bella. I do not want anyone else to be upset like I am today!! I’m posting this on my FB. Dr Patterson opened his practice in 1978, he retired but I hope he does not keep her as an employee. , Mary Ann. Reading your response I don’t know why it shows a few days ago it was in June and after that visit with I had to go to the er I was so upset. Apparently you had other complaints about that vet. She was so mean. I would still be a patient if not for her. I hope no one else was treated so harshly I stand by what I said .

I took our little cocka-poo to get her ear checked out since it's been bothering her lately and looked infected. I'm SO glad I chose Bonita Veterinary Hospital as the staff were super-nice, the receptionist got us in right away and the doctor was informative & thorough. I definitely recommend this Vet. The price was reasonable with no surprises and fine print, unlike other places in our area. Two thumbs up!

This is definitely the best vet staff I have ever experienced. They all are like family to me and my 4-legged family with education and compassion it makes for a relaxing visit and reassurance that you're in good hands.

I did not appreciate the two women at the service desk openly discussing with disdain their opinions about how I choose to care for my pet. Both are very unprofessional.

Best vet experience ever! we are new to the area, and we were anxious about having to find a new vet for our two senior animals. both of our animals are very nervous at the vet, and the staff here took time to learn about our animals in order to cater to their needs. the check-in and check-out process were as streamlined as I have ever seen. our two appointments were the easiest and least stressful vet visits that we have had with our two senior critters. thank you, Bonita Vet Hospital!

I called during season to get an appointment which to my surprise I could get one in just a few days. I spoke with Holly on the phone while making the appointment and she was very helpful with suggestions that alleviated my urgency to get him in. People always jump the gun to write a negative review, but people rarely make reviews when they have good feedback. I'm looking forward to meeting them at the office upon my return from vacation.

I sure hope the veterinarian is able to read this regarding his office . Walked in on a Tuesday morning while traveling. My dog was sick, diarrhea they told me if I needed help I needed to go to the emergency vet even though it was clearly regular hours. They had no desire to help me. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone,

It was an all around stressful and negative experience from the opening of the front door. Let's just say- the vibe, for a vet clinic was negative. Apparently, my dog felt that too. As soon as I arrived, I realized there was a euthanizing going on in one of the rooms. Of course, my dog doesn't know that and was barking in the waiting room- that was not met with grace or patience in any way. The vet tech, almost immediately moved us to a room. She stated that she was whispering due to the euthanizing . Again, my dog is not aware of this situation. From there. It went downhill. There was zero bedside manner for my highly anxious pup who admittedly was barking and full of angst. I expect the professionals to be able to deal with these situations- I'm certain they have dealt with high anxiety dogs before. Instead of offering guidance and support, I was met with an attitude of irritation from Dr. Bair. Her statement " that dog needs training" additionally, " he is unmanageable"! Is this not your arena, Dr. Stephanie Bair? I don't really care if my dog was not up to standards for their caretaking- help your patients. Do not scold them for whatever your erroneous ideas are. How about having a conversation prior to " caretaking"? Instead I was dismissed with an almost literal hand in my face for trying to explain that myself and my pets have been through trauma this last year. Dr. Bair cut me off at the knees when I tried to discuss this. She sucks. That's my opinion and always will be. Furthermore. When the manager. Vince reached out to me, there was never any accountability for his staff- only excuses for dealing with " my unmanageable dog"! Shame. Shame. Shame. There are plenty of vets in Fort Myers and surrounding areas-,I've had amazing experiences with them. This clinic is not one of them. I will take my so called unmanageable pup elsewhere where he can be treated with kindness and care- not meanness and disassociation.
