Dirty, smells of mold, sofa beds are made of springs alone, and the list goes on. Staff was the opposite of helpful and needs training on proper customer service. It is Christmas so there were low expectations ;however upper management should be looking at the processes and the deterioration of the property. As a business owner myself, I always try to leave positive reviews only. I had to make an exception to this rule as this property is just that BAD and future customers should be wary.

We reserved the what I thought was a hotel but instead it felt like a motel. When we first opened the door the smell of smoke hit you right in the face. I was scared for our safety the whole time. It was a weird vibe. Definitely not a Marriott Hotel.

I had a fabulous experience at this hotel. After a very long day of travel I was met with a very warm welcome from Tara. She got us checked in quickly so we could get some rest. The room was clean and comfortable and there was light on which always makes me feel safer. The checkout process was also quick. Latoya and Shannon were extremely friendly.Overall, I give them a 10!

I would not stay here. I have warned you! There is weird odor in the elevator and the room had even weirder odor.I asked for a different room. The next room was better but I couldn’t stand the smell.I have traveled a lot and been to many hotels and motels and even hostels, the smell as this place is so bad that there was no way that I was going to stay here, so we had the reservation canceled and left to another hotel. To be fair, they are paining and doing maintenance on the 4th floor. This hotel is very dated and I am surprised the Marriott hasn’t sold this property to smaller chain.

The lady at front desk was not rude but it is not the best people person. The hotel is dated A LOT. The kitchen looks like is going to fall a part. Bathroom didn’t have shower gel, no extra towel for the second guest and no floor towel (none) nor garbage can. Internet was not working good (poor internet). It is surprising to see how Marriott has lowered their Quality Standards. It is a shame. Good location, coffee 24/7.Rooms: Very dated, kitchen looks like is fall a part. Bathroom didn’t have garbage can, shower gel empty, only one big towel for a two person bedroom even when my profile ask for extra towels and no towel for the floor. To a “Marriott “ it doesn’t meet the standards.

Might be the dirtiest Marriott property I've stayed at. The room was simply not clean. The hotel smells "wet". Not sure if it's mold but it smells musty and damp. The carpets in the room are disgusting.Front desk was nice. Wifi worked well. They do not have ice on all the floors. I would prefer to try next door on the future.

This hotel stay was absolutely amazing I loved it ... they don't have jacuzzi .. :(... but the people here are very friendly there is coffee brewed 24hrs it wasn't always hot or fresh but that doesn't mean it means a lower star.. the rooms wow it's like a mini apartment we were able to cook and everything laundry was really cheap to do also ... the pools are small. I think it's Boca rio trail that's right next to it me and my partner walked it several times within our stay nice trail. There is Starbucks close and Walmarts within minutes. I Willis be back and recommend 100% ... also there breakfast in the morning five start they mix it up so it's always different

I would rate this place better BUT I'm paying a typical hotel rate every night for a hotel that doesn't actually serve breakfast, and has an unusable pool. The staff knows the pool needs cleaned constantly AND they also know there is a swarm of bees nearby and they wont do anything about it. So the pool is constantly full of dead and LIVE bees! As for breakfast, you have to walk next door to their sister hotel for that. So this place doesn't actually serve it. We didn't mind at first but now don't really know what we're paying for. You can use the pool next door too, which is so much nicer. We would move over there in a heartbeat if they allowed dogs! We've been here for a couple weeks and are debating staying a couple more weeks just so we don't have to move. But alerting others as to what you're actually paying for! We also haven't had any housekeeping due to the dogs. That's on us, but we certainly aren't reaping the benefits of those prices!

Very pleasant staff at a utilitarian hotel. Looks and feels like you're staying at some type of government institution, at least to me. Hotel is clean with some pretty worn areas. Sofabeds are comical! Bed was fortunately quite comfortable. Room often vibrates when the train goes by! Breakfast, which you eat next door, is good.

Very old hotel. We booked a suite with 2 bedrooms which was okay in appearance. Definitely need renovations. AC was not enough to cool the rooms with a very small vent. Breakfast options were good.

My son checked out of his room last Friday and forgot his blender and immediately reported it. He was staying next door at the Springhill after he checked out. Good customer service would be that they would walk it across the parking lot same day but there was no follow up so he stopped by again and was told to wait while someone went to a meeting. They don't care about their guests. We are here now a week later and after asking Mohamed the GM, he was very loud, aggressive and dismissive with my wife over the missing blender. Having worked with Marriott for over 25 years, this is not how Marriott associates are expected to handle a customer service issue. Listen, Empathize, Apologize, React and Notify is the expectation. It was clear Mohamed does not respect women or his customers or Marriott values in general with his reaction. The hospitality company that manages this property should take a look at the regular online complaints this property has, the customer service scores with GSS and the Marriott inspections and understand the fish stinks from the head down as this is not acceptable behavior.

TownPlace suites is a pretty no-frills suite hotel experience. The property itself is showing its age but I was pretty forgiving.Having an open mind, I found that there's definitely nothing particularly nice about this location and enough negatives make it fall from a 3 to a 2 star experience for me. Two specifics:The walls/doors leave very little imagination to what's going on next door. It was very difficult to sleep with the snoring neighbor which sounded like they were inside my room.Additionally the location is VERY close to the train. Throughout the night a few trains rolled by which evoked memories of "My Cousin Vinny."The breakfast is served next door at the sister property Staybridge Suites (still Marriott) which is decidedly a better property. If you have to stay in this area and are given the choice, you should choose Staybridge.

Trust the reviews this hotel is outdated and is dirty. It nay not be really dirty but looks dirty because of all the little things thats neglected about this property in the inside. Molding cracked and paint peelings, sofa base threads hanging, stains on bath tubs, paints on mirrors. It really like a cheap Marriott hotel. The staff makes you feel that you are bothering them being there. Very unfriendly, does not smile, when you ask something they will respond am still doing something... that's the cue saying am busy doing something else right now. When you call them on the phone to ask something they are rushing and theres no pleasantness on their voice. Its just a miserable stay. Breakfast you have to cross a parking lot to get to Springhill Suites while Embassy Suites has a Chef and makes you omelette and has a really full breakfast with waffles and French toast and all the trimmings. They will make it for you not like Marriott that you have to make yourself. I am a Titanium Elite member of Marriott but getting really impressed with the Hilton group.

Worst hotel experience EVER!!! Buckle up buttercup! I stayed at this hotel with my parents as I'm moving into college today so we needed a suite to store all of my clothes and storage items. When we first entered the hotel on Wednesday August 10, the ladies at the front desk were extremely nice which was honestly a little suspicious to me because they weren't focusing on their job of checking us in properly. Fast forward three days to Saturday and my parents and I leave the hotel at approximately 10:30am to visit my roommate about 30 minutes up north from the hotel. When we left we made sure the door to our room was locked like we always do as I left my laptop on the nightstand in the back room of the suite. After we return to the hotel at around 4:00pm, our key to our hotel room malfunctioned so my dad went down to the front desk and they said that our hotel reservation was completely wiped from the system. My dad even checked his Marriott app and the reservation had just suddenly disappeared which is extremely fishy. When we obtained the new key we found a note on the floor of our room stating to contact the front desk asap which is bizarre because how are we going to see that note to come downstairs when the door is locked... I wanted to watch a show on my laptop so I when I went into the bedroom where I was sleeping my laptop was gone without a trace in sight. By now my parents and I are panicking because I need my laptop for college as I was moving in the next day. My dad called the front desk and they call the police and they come investigate and talk to me about where I had it last etc. The police couldn't really do much but scope out our room and discuss the matter with the people at the front desk. The officer made me fill out a statement explaining how this catastrophe unfolded and how I had prosecution on the thief if my laptop was ever found. We never found the laptop so my dad and I had to run to the apple store to pick up a whole new device from almost $1000 which is absurd. I have a feeling that the hotel staff had to do with this and that they planned this from the beginning since we are a nice family that have a lot on out plates because I'm moving into college really soon. I find it very strange that they don't have camera in the halls of the hotel because if they did we would've been able to find the suspect but they are probably hiding the fact that they committed this felony. If you don't want your possessions stolen DON'T come to this hotel!!!

Toxic Black Mold, Roaches, Bed Bugs, Crappy Breakfast, Rude Staff...Worst Hotel Stay EverWhat we were hoping would be an incredible stay in Boca Raton has turned into an absolute nightmare from hell after staying in Marriott's TownePlace Suites Boca Raton. Usually, I don't take negative reviews seriously as many are overreacting, but I highly recommend you heed this review for your health's sake.My wife and I stayed in this hotel for less than 3 days before we both began to strangely get sick with a myriad of unexplained symptoms. I eventually removed the air conditioner vent to discover the entire AC unit was covered in black mold. The mold had grown out of the unit and had even recently been painted over. The AC air filter was the wrong size and wasn't even filtering the air. A hotel staff eventually admitted the entire building was having this issue and he was cleaning the units one by one with Clorox spray (lol) to "remediate". Additionally, the coolant lines are running at the wrong temperature have not been maintained - with the addition of the dust problem caused by a buildup of dust yielded very high levels of black mold. Also, we continually had a cockroach problem that was never resolved. So far, we have spent thousands of dollars in medical bills treating our symptoms. The General Manager was not very sympathetic and acted like it was my problem that I am immunocompromised and getting sick. Eventually, he agreed to refund our stay as recompense. That was in November. The day after we left, they charged our card instead of refunding and went dark on us! It is December and he won't answer my calls or emails. Luckily, we followed all steps a local attorney firm specializing in mold cases recommended before leaving the hotel. If you have been affected by your stay, they can help you as well. What could have been an easy solution honoring the bare minimum of what was offered to us, they have chosen the dishonest road, which is beneath Marriott brand's reputation, but this is far from over. The GM may reply to this review trying to shrug us off saying we were offered a different room, which I inspected and discovered the same water leaking problem and mold buildup. We were eventually transferred to the building next door (Springhill Suites) until we could get into a new hotel. Stayed one night and had bed bug bites the next day. Lovely. Also, the AC filter was the wrong size and not working in there as well. Idiots.
