This was my 2nd visit. Having thyroid disease for 60+ years, I can’t say enough good about Dr Tokayer. The reception area is amazing. You are greeted, treated kindly and you feel like you matter. I’m fortunate to have found Dr Tokayer and her office.

I called to set an appointment because my other doctor referred me to them. I would assume my doctor would know what type of specialist she would be sending me to for the issues I’m having. The lady who answered the phone refused to let me finish explaining what my other doctor was sending me there for. She kept saying we don’t do this or that but on their website it says exactly what I was calling about. She was so nasty to me that she made me cry.

Dr. Tokayer is an exceptionally kind and thorough endocrinologist. She is extremely easy to talk to and she discusses conditions rather than simply telling you what to do. She includes the patient in the decision process with regard to treatment and after some discussion, allowed me to choose our plan of action. Dr Tokayer did a thyroid biopsy on me (I’ve had one before) which was truly no big deal! She was very gentle and calming and I never even bruised :). Her office staff is exceptionally kind and welcoming - I highly recommend Dr. Tokayer for your endocrine needs!

I am writing this review because of the treatment I received from the office manager Elizabeth. I have been a patient of Dr. Sharon Miller for a few years. I recently had gotten a new job and had to move. I was supposed to have an appointment a month ago but I had to cancel it because I was not going to be in FL. I thought that my health insurance coverage ended immediately when in fact, it wasn't until 9/30. Now, this is not their fault, but I feel like the office could have tried to help me. She was giving me a cold attitude like she didn't care. I liked Dr. Miller a lot but I wasn't happy with the way I was treated.

Dr Edna Tokayer is an absolutely an amazing Endocrinologist. She takes her time with you, listens to you, and then in the nicest way gives you her ideas and opinions in order to help you. She is also compassionate. I actually enjoy going for my doctors appointment. On another note Scott her PA is also fantastic, as well as her whole office staff.

My first visit I checked in and then sat for over an hour. My phone rang with them telling me they had to reschedule me b/c I didn't show up. I was sitting in the waiting room! Dr. Tokayer seemed very nice and seemed to care. I liked her a lot, but the staff seemed very disorganized. I had a follow up but no one has ever gotten back to me when I left messages for it. I left test results - nothing. I have been trying to get a refill on my rx for MONTHS. I've called, emailed, left messages... it's dangerous to be off this med and no one seems to care. I started off as self-pay & changed insurance to accomodate their office and can't even get a call back.

I have seen several doctors at this office, mainly because it is close to me in Boca, and also because every other endocrinologist is booked months ahead! Dr. Tokayer was nice on first visit, second visit she yawned for 30 minutes straight (she had been out late the night before!). Recently saw Dr. Trepp. He could not have been more disinterested in his new patient! I asked three times for a prescription from him, and never got it! Don't waste your time here, these doctors don't care!

Very disorganized office staff. Dr. Tokayer is void of patient concerns. When a mistake is made she is quick to blame others. I understand with Covid 19 seeing doctors is very difficult; however, it took me from March 18 to June 2 to get a biopsy of a thyroid nodule that appeared to be malignant on an ultra-sound (80% or greater). Then it took Dr. Tokayer 9 business days (13 total days) to call me with the results. I would never recommend this person.

I have yet to visit this office or attend my appointment, but scheduling it was such a pleasant experience that I had to write a review. Lashaun was so helpful and kind. She was patient in answering all of my questions and helped accommodate my appointment needs. I am very grateful for her help and ended my call with a great first impression. Thank you Lashaun!
