I would like to thank Scan Design in Boca Raton for excellent customer service. Anthony Ayala and his group backed up their promise to sell only top-quality furniture. Our leather kitchen chairs did not hold up well, so we sent in photos and had phone calls to discuss our options. They exchanged the chairs for us without much trouble. We will continue to shop there. Thank you!!

After years of shopping at scan designs and spending $$$$ for numerous homes in our family , we will not continue with them . Especially the Boca store . Winter park , fl is much better . Don’t bother with Boca . Our last purchase from Boca they promised delivery in one shot and agree to get the items off the floor . They decided after we left that they weren’t going to ship one item off the floor and have changed the delivery date for that item three times now . On top of that , during checkout a male employee acted like a bouncer at a bar ( unusual for furniture shopping ) saying that they are cracking down on discounts even though we had received one for every purchase in the past we weren’t getting one now . There was no reason for the confrontational tone . If you want shipping and delivery as promised , don’t buy from theboca store .

After spending days looking at furniture at many stores, running the gamut from very high end to big box mass retailers. Our salesman, Earle Goodman, approached us promptly, as we entered the store. He was very helpful, spending lots of time with us, making sure the furniture, was not only to our taste, but comfortable. We never had a salesperson do that before. Comfort came first. Then, using the pieces that were most comfortable, we started to draw up a design. We had brought a floor plan with us, including measurements and samples of the materials used in our newly renovated kitchen. Yes, we made it easy for him, but we had done the same at a number of stores the same week, in our quest for the perfect furniture and layout for our room. Earle asked if we could leave him with a copy of our floor plan and come back at a less busy time, when the store was not full of customers, (our first visit was on a weekend). We happily left him with the plan, as we'd done at a few other stores prior to our stop at Scan Design in Boca Raton. We communicated many times during the design process, via phone, email and in person. Our messages were always returned in a timely manner. I mention this, because many previous reviewers said they were ignored, whether in store or communicating by phone or email. We never had this experience with anyone there. Maybe there is a whole new set of management or salespeople at this store. I'd say, if you like their furniture, but experienced poor customer service , maybe it's time for a new visit. Give them a chance to wow you too! We never heard back from the others. A salesperson at a very nearby store, (they practically share a parking lot), actually walked away from us, when she thought she might not "make a sale". We had a similar experience at one of the biggest, big box furniture stores, where the salesperson kept walking off, saying that another customer needed his help and he'd be "right back" Earle contacted us during the week with various questions regarding the design. He confirmed our appointment, and was ready for us when we arrived for our meeting. He showed us what he had designed. We wanted to make some changes. We wanted recliners, and were not sure of the right match for our needs. He was very patient, as we mulled over, individual chairs, motorized vs. manual operation, color, size, etc. We sat down again at his computer, revising our drawings. We looked at area rugs. He revised our drawings again and the next (third) time we we returned to Scan Design, Boca Raton, we placed our order. Earle sent me a copy of his latest floor plan, promising to update the specific pieces of furniture we had ordered, as soon as he could. I chose to do it myself, adding my kitchen into the plan, for us all. All of the items were in stock, but our house was not ready for "prime time" Earle called to let us know there would probably be a 1 week time frame to get delivery lined up. When we were ready, it was Earle's day off. Mark, a new employee, took my message and set up a delivery date. Earle called back when he returned to work. He was able to arrange for our delivery sooner. Yesterday, we received an email from Earle. He said, "Your delivery is tomorrow, which is my day off, but if you have any questions or problems, don't hesitate to call or text my cell phone." He gave me his cell phone number! How many salesmen do you know who do that? Two days prior to our delivery, this past Monday, the Scan Design delivery scheduler called with a 2 hour window for our delivery, today, between 12 and 2. The driver called at about 11:30, to say they were a half hour out. It had just started to pour as the truck pulled up to our house. The 2 delivery men wrapped everything in blankets and plastic. The delivery men removed their shoes each time they stepped on the new rug. They were polite and respectful and didn't complain when we asked them to move the pieces to exactly as envisioned, as per the drawing that my husband, Earle and I coll

ScanDesign has very modern, attractive furnishings and I believe most products are quality. Unfortunately not their "best seller" Austin sectional $9,998. Just look at the images, my clients aren't overweight, but nevertheless this "Italian leather" sagged and wrinkled almost immediately. Every effort was made on my part as a designer, to have it returned or to even reselect for another sofa, or whatever. My clients are the nicest and most generous people you can meet, but at the end of the claim process, all ScanDesign could do was to do nothing at all! other than say it's the type of leather, or it will look more consistent with time. What's mind boggling is that they admit that there have been similar complaints about this model and yet they go on selling it. This is not a way to business to say the least. Now, why would a company allow a customer, let alone a high-end interior design to walk out unhappy, is beyond u me. Never going back.

Purchased 4 Leather Bar stools through the Boca Store for roughly 1K total.First 2 without incident 3rd came in when promised albeit late during Covid. The 4th was a debacle took literally a year to get and when it came in was damaged then I had to wait another month to get a replacement. All during this time the communication sucked. My order got pushed aside, blackholed and delayed and each time I stopped in person because I couldnt get a straight answer I wasted time. Luckily my work was mobile and I could stalk them until I got my stool. The management is rude as hell and act like you are the issue. Well no s*** I was aggravated after a year. You sell high end products and the service level is crap. The stools are great too bad the backend is a joke. I wrote the owner without response when it happened and do not give me excuses because I had to do your follow up for you. Oh yeah the whole order pre-paid in the beginning. I literally have had better service and experience from Rooms to go (Shocking) and IKEA. I love high end items but rather buy average stuff but solid if I get a better experience. At least Ikea has food and a smile instead of this BS at SCAM Design

We worked directly with Matthew Jernigan and it was by far the best experience we have had with furniture in Florida. He is talented and could visualize our space surprisingly well and make tasteful suggestions that worked. More importantly was his follow through. So many design coordinators are good during the sale then quickly disappear. Matthew facilitated easy delivery, follow up with a delivery challenge and then continued follow through with one replacement item. It was enjoyable to work with him. I would highly recommend.

I read the other reviews before I started writing mine. Come to find out.....I'm not alone in my thoughts. There are many other disgruntled customers who have written about Scan Design here. I'm an Interior Designer and I bring my contemporary Boca Clients to Robb&Stucky and Sklar often. I have salespeople in both showrooms who are professional and appreciate that I bring them business on a regular basis. As we passed Scan Design my client asked to stop in. Im a registered designer with their trade partner program and from time to time I've had clients purchase items. Well, based on this last experience I will never go back. My client purchased two items. A piece of furniture for more than $1000 and a piece of artwork for $1000 as well. When we arrived back at my clients home I realized the art was going to be too small for the area so I immediately called the salesperson. We wanted to come back and purchase a different piece that was bigger and more expensive. When the manager finally got back to me (days later) the piece was taken off the showroom floor, wrapped and there was going to be a 50% restocking fee to exchange the picture. Needless to say, my client was upset. Years ago I signed up for their trade partnership program which entitles me to 15% off non sale items. The artwork was not allegeable for my discount. I did not feel like they were acting like my partner here. I'm calmly and nicely asking to come back into your showroom and spend more money. Julie, the store manager (who finally called back days later) was robotically reciting store policy to me. Sales and customer service is about building relationships. Julie wasn't interested in keeping my business. She was argumentative, and unfriendly. Good bye Scan Design. You're off my list of places to bring my clients.

This store in my opinion is very unprofessional and mismanaged, my wife purchased a painting with her decorator ,and realized later that day the painting wasn't big enough for our wall, she asked for a store credit(mind u ,the painting was still in the store) and they said absolutely not.very unprofessional and short term business mentality. Won't be back

Horrible experience shopping here. Completely incompetent sales people. Complete waste of time. To top it all off, they charged my credit card nearly $3,000 I never agreed to buy furniture there. Do not be fooled by this store.
