Came here to have my 2020 taxes done as I was very confused because of everything that occurred with covid. Had to file for two states as I moved to Florida during 2020. Just got an audit from the state I moved from claiming I didn't pay enough and was sent a bill. While I understand Covid was a confusing time I expected a tax professional to know how to navigate filing my taxes correctly. I was wrong about that. Nothing like a surprise bill thanks to the lack of knowledge from the tax professionals of Liberty Tax. Would not recommend as you too may face an audit if you use this service. Ouxr experience with Liberty Tax has got worse progressively over the last 3 years. We have been using them for 5, and the first 2 years were great, sadly it went down hill from there. Year three our rebate came back $3k less than the year before, even though our earnings and circumstances had remained the same. We obviously questioned the difference, and Gary magically managed to re look at it and it was adjusted to be close to the previous year (leading me to believe it had been rushed). Last year we signed all the paperwork and sent it to Gary. Told it was filed. No record by the IRS. Chased Liberty for SIX weeks, being given the run around by everyone we managed to get hold of on the phone. Never call back. Rude on the phone, and it is impossible to get hold of Gary who we usually deal with. In the end my wife had to physically go down there in person to get them to file the taxes. This year, here we are again, 4 weeks after them supposedly filing, still no record of it with the IRS. Still nobody returns calls or emails. Someone had the front to say yesterday that Gary was busy and to call back in a week and a half after tax season. What a joke. I wish my wife hadn't already paid when they said they had filed, as now they have zero motivation to get back to us or do their job right. Gary is a nice guy when you can get hold of him, but there is only so many chances you can give someone. It looks like they now take on way more work that they can comfortably handle, and it's the customers that suffer, which is a shame as it started out so well. Do yourself a favor and save yourself the frustration, stay well clear.

Horrible. Do not come here. I left my taxes with one of the agents to get it done, he didnt call me ever to give me a status update. I called and he just took my # and said he'd call me back. Never did. Went back in person, he claimed he gave me forms to fill out and that i just "never returned them to him" when he never gave me anything and then he misplaced my taxes and couldnt even find them. Once he found them he said "this isnt you" and then i saw it WAS me....and he just had everything messed up so he didnt even know it was mine. Quite scary someone so unorganized could be working as a tax agent
