I had to wait an hour for my car to be ready. The car wasn’t in the greatest shape either. With some bumps and scratch at many spots. They also didn’t have the toddler seat I had requested through my reservation made through Expedia. I had to drive to another hertz location where I had to wait another 45 mins to go get one. The whole process took me more than 2 hours.

Four people working the counter and just me waiting for 30 minutes to be helped. The employees didn’t offer to help and instead were just taking to each other. DO NOT RENT from Hertz here or in Delray, which had overbooked reservations.

Made an online reservation for a mid size sedan for 10am on Tuesday. Arrived at 11am only to have to wait 45 mins for them to wash the vehicle. When the vehicle was brought out, it was a compact Chevy Trax. When I asked, I was told it was actually an upgrade. Take it or leave it attitude.1.) Shouldn't the vehicle have been ready for 10am.2.) If your out of mid size sedans, have the decency to contact the customer so other plans could be made.

I’d like to share a very positive experience we had at Hertz this past week. I arrived there by taxi to get my car and found out that the new rules from non Americans require a passport. I had left mine at our hotel. I was kind of stuck until Eddie, a longtime employee, heard my plight and asked his boss if he could drive me to get my passport. I almost jumped up and hugged him! His boss said yes and off we went to get my passport. In the space of the 1/2 hour round trip we had a beautiful friendly conversation about life, politics and everyday living. Even though we had just met I felt like I’d known him for a lifetime. I came back and Ashley, a very friendly young lady helped me with my rental. We had a bit of a contract problem which meant I had to return to get it fixed. Ashley helped me work through the problem with a professional and friendly attitude. I really appreciated their great customer service and left there with a great feeling. I will definitely rent from here again next time I come to the area.

I usually go to Hertz cuz they're the only ones who carry Teslas at a great price. And this location always serves me right. Good service, easy in and out. Sometimes the line can get crazy long and things could get done faster but that's just how business goes when you're doing a good job.

I have in the past taken few rentals from Hertz which had good service in all respects. However this last December things were more worst than what I would expect from a company like Hertz.My wife and I are 82 years of age and we have back problems to sit in a saloon car so we booked and paid in full for a small SUV such as Nisan Rogue as offered to us by Hertz. We did this some FOUR MONTHS in advance and paid in full.However when we went to pickup our car we were told that there were only two cars available for us. One was a saloon car and the other was an SUV but was fully electrical car. We told the agent that this unacceptable and explained our situation in full but he was most unhelpful. We could not take the electric car as we had never driven one and we did not what to do in a new country. So we had no choice but to take the saloon car which was patrol version.In short we did not receive what we had been offered and paid in full at time of booking. We were literally told by the agent to take what is there or go without the car and that if we decided after one hour than no car will be available.Absolutely appalling. Having come home I will now complain to Hertz

At arrival my rental pick up on 12/2/2023 for the Telsa I reserved, the staff was quick in getting the car ready. An employee stated “let me clean out the bugs before I bring it up.” At the time I thought he meant a spider web or a non-invasive insect. By the night when i was getting into the car I started to notice ROACHES. They were crawling out of the seat, arm rest and door. Not just a couple…! I called the Hertz location for a replacement and they had none and did not offer any solution. The staff was fully aware they gave me a car infested with bugs. At the time when i returned the rental on 12/9/2023 I spoke to the staff and asked them if there was anything they could do? They responded with no, contact support. I called, emailed and left feedback on Hertz survey. No one has contacted me.Now after having my work and gym bag in the Tesla rental they have infested my home. I now have to take responsibility for the cost for an exterminator to treat my home for this bug issue. Negligent staff and awful customer service.

Do NOT rent a car from HERTZ Downtown Boca location: 181 NW 13th St. THE VEHICLE SAFETY INSPECTIONS ARE NOT UP TO DATE . The GM, Frank Mitchell is unprofessional, rude, insulting. I picked up a Jeep on 10/31 for a work trip, dashboard alerted 45 MINUTES IN ON I75 "mismatched tire/reduced performance" causing wheel alignment to swerve right/left driving to Tampa/back. When I tried to drive to work/back constant alerts wheel pressure off on tires causing a 4 hour drive to be 5 hours one way in addition to the wheels swerving. I told desk associate, Brandon upon returning on 11/6, he went to the back to tell GM, Frank. Frank came to front desk aggressively demanding "my version of the story". I told him jeep was not safe to drive, the above details, safety inspections weren't up to date on car and he said it was my fault for not returning in Tampa after I explained I was working 12 hours every day, did not have time to take Jeep to Tampa location, that I was renting another vehicle later this week, asked to refund or compensate for my next rental to keep me as a customer, he said he would offer me 50 points, threw the receipt on the counter then walked away to the back. I asked for his business card when he was walking away, he said he didn't have one while rudely dismissing me.A customer in lobby said I should write to corporate for unsafe Jeep, way I was treated by the GM. Brandon wouldn't give me Frank's last name. Brandon told me to call an 800 billing number and to not use his name in google review. Another employee said to tell corporate to pull camera footage of Frank's behavior and gave me Frank Mitchell's name. I told them they deserve a better leader, then Frank rushed out from the back threatening he was going to call the cops. I will share my experience renting an unsafe vehicle from this location on every Palm Beach County public forum so others will know how business is conducted at this location and to not risk their safety renting unsafe vehicles. I was not able to take a picture of the mismatched tire alert while driving because the notifications would flash on and off while vehicle was moving. The CarPlay feature for directions would not work and the overall problems with the car was causing the gas to deplete exponentially.If anyone is wondering why the rates are half the price of all other car rentals, the above quality customer service from the GM and not having up to date vehicle inspections is what you get for the lowest rate. You can see in the attached picture the upper right alert kept flashing because of the mismatched tire, not because of the sensor of another car in close proximity.Go see Mark , General Manager and Marcus at SIXT Pompano Bch on Federal Highway for consistent safe car rentals and excellent customer service.
