We called the vet to make an appointment because my poor dog has problems with her ears and won’t stop shaking her head. We were told we could come in at 1 o’clock this afternoon which we were very grateful for. Then they asked if we were a new client which we are And she said never mind that the next available is in four days. I would say that they should change the name of their company. Compassionate should not be in there. How do you turn a dog away? That’s in pain because we’re a first time client even though they had space. The goal was to change the vet to somebody near our home but I guess it will not be this one.

My former veterinarian permanently closed his practice during Covid, so it's been a challenge to find another practice that suits my needs. I hit the jackpot with Compassionate Care Animal Clinic. I first chose this practice based on location from my home and of course, the reviews. I realize that reviews are not always reliable, however, the reviews for Compassionate Care are thoughtful with good context, and 4.8 across the board which is why I chose to make an appointment.Compassionate Care's service from my inital call to make the appointment to my first visit was excellent. This is a small, very comfortable and inviting practice. The woman at the front desk is very kind and accommodating. The technician, Stefan, was very kind, thorough, and efficient. Dr. Hutson is fantastic. She has a wonderful personality, excellent pet-side manner, and my sweet, three-legged cat, loved her. The doctor was thorough in her examination. Although my visit was a yearly, wellness check and to obtain prescriptions for his food, Dr. Hutson's approach is wellness, not outrageous testing and unneccesary bloodwork and medicine. I appreciated her honest assessment of my cat's needs.Compassionate Care is very reasonable and customary in their fees, which is a huge plus. They are very organized from start to finish. Special note -- I recieved a sweet phone call from the practice the next business day just to see how my cat was doing. How sweet and thoughtful is that!I highly recommend Compassionate Care Animal Clinic.

I brought my cat in 6 months ago for an issue. My cat starting having the same issue recently. I called the office and explained the situation. I got a call back later with some suggestions to try. I tried them and they solved the issue! I'm grateful that they saved me a trip of having to bring my cat in and also saved me some much needed money right now. Thank you.

I write this review in despair, but feel morally obligated to share my experience. Tragically, on October 23, a special dog that meant the world to my family was killed after slipping out of his harness and running onto Palmetto Park Road in front of the square where this animal clinic is. I pulled up alongside his body on the side of this busy road in anguish, not knowing what to do. Through tears I decided that I was going to have to gather his remains into the back of my car and try and find somewhere to bring him as it was abundantly clear he had expired. Seemingly out of nowhere in that instant, two wonderful ladies pulled up behind me and introduced themselves as being with Compassionate Care Animal Clinic right behind us. Some kind soul had called and alerted them of the situation, and within an instant they sprung into action. One of the women was Dr Tracey Hutson, the head veterinarian, and she could not have been more helpful and sympathetic to my horrific situation. She and her associate saved me the heartache of having to gather the dog’s body and transport him physically to the clinic and didn’t even charge me for the effort later on. While in the clinic, Dr Hutson prepared the body so it would be appropriate for last viewing and consoled me as I waited for my family to arrive and come to terms with this horrific tragedy that had come upon us. She and her staff were a pillar of support to us as they offered tissues, words of encouragement, and also space for the grieving to occur. I am not the religious type, but the efforts from these people that day felt like a godsend, and we can’t thank them enough for the work that they do. “Compassionate Care” could not be a more fitting title for this establishment, and I encourage anyone who requires their services to support them. They deserve it!

After looking for a vet near me and seeing dozens of options, I found Compassionate Care Animal Clinic which stood out to me with the best reviews and I can see why! I brought my new puppy, Rigatoni for his exam and vaccinations and Dr. Hutson and her team were beyond loving, welcoming and friendly to us and especially my little fur baby making him feel so happy and safe. This is a wonderful office and I'm so glad to find a vet that could be trusted and know my little one is in great hands. Thank you team! ❤️

We were referred to Dr. Hutson by a close friend and we have been so happy so far with our experience at Compassionate Care. We bring in our Bernedoodle Finn for all his exams, shots, etc. Dr Hutson & her staff are so wonderful and we’ve never had a bad experience. She takes the time to answer questions, explain things thoroughly and we also love when Finn makes a debut on the Instagram. 10/10!

Our third visit and we are so, so happy with the vet here. She is the type of vet we've been looking for- smart, thoughtful, caring, calm, practical, and straight forward. A much better fit for us after years of large chains taking the money. We know why they call it Compassionate Care.

The lady who is working the front desk is the most rude person I have ever encountered there. She told us the doctor wouldn't touch our dog without him being sedated, complete news to us, only to find out the doc actually said no if I'm drawing blood I'd like to sedate him. I can't spell her name because it sounds more like a bird call than a name but she's very rude, condescending, and we actually avoid them if she's working. Bird call lady, have a nice day!
