Michelle has been a blessing to our businesses. Our previous bookkeeper had fallen about six months behind on the books for our 2 companies. We later discovered there were many mistakes as well. Michelle brought everything up-to-date, corrected the mistakes and provided our financial statements in a matter of weeks. She was extremely knowledgeable and professional. The company prepared our tax returns as well. The whole process was customer service oriented, which is a lost art these days. We now work together on a monthly basis. Would highly recommend.

very difficult to get a hold of. doens't do what's requested. loses emails. missed filing date. Wanted it to work out but just ended up being a mess.

I have been having the same problem with Michelle as the last review. No email response beginning to think it might be a problem with her email and not mine. She completely ignored my last email. Which kept getting bounced back to me. She said I will get back in a few days took her a week. Then instead of in person she wanted me to scan every page of my tax return. We have never even met her.

I tried engaging with Michelle DeMarie earlier this year following my mom's passing. I needed someone to help advise me and prepare my next year's 1040 tax form.It started off okay. Michelle is very pleasant. I filled out an extensive form detailing my personal situation, and I paid $150 as a retainer towards next year's tax engagement (which was about $750 if memory serves me). I personally met her; she's likeable in person.Then, I started emailing Michelle time-sensitive questions to important matters that began to arise, asking her for tax advice. (Voice calling isn't my main way of communicating).Unfortunately, Michelle didn't respond to my emails, even after I followed up with her (again, using email).Finally, I just had to find another accountant--one who could responsively use email.I did explain to Michelle why I wasn't going to use her services after all. I asked her to destroy my records that I'd shared with her and, as she deemed fit, return any portion of the $150 retainer fee that I'd paid.I never heard back from her after that...and I kissed that $150 good-bye.My recommendation: Check Google Reviews for Boca Raton-area CPAs and you'll likely find a really good one in this area with a lot of good reviews (like I did). Also...I'm not certain whether Ms. DeMarie is a CPA or not?

Michelle runs a top notch accounting firm. I have tax services provided by my employer and she found more deductions then they did. Paid for herself and then some. She was very easy to work with and a great communicator. Everything was handled via email and she only inquired when absolutely needed. I'd recommend Boca Raton Accounting to anyone running a business and/or has a high income in the state of Florida.

Michelle is amazing. I only had the chance to work with her to set up help for a client I worked with, but she is not only incredibly knowledgeable, she has a "let's figure out a solution to this" outlook that made me excited to work with her. Highly recommend her services; she offers fair pricing in addition to being VERY clear and up front about what is included in her services versus what may be extra.
