Thomas had explained to me what my problem was, said it was easy to fix and being that i was trying NOT to spend a lot of money, suggested i’d do it myself, my truck had been sitting for a few weeks and is now running like a champ.

Thomas and his wife were absolutely amazing! They came to help us with our car troubles on very short notice and were the kindest people you will meet! They are very professional and knowledgeable. Our back brakes locked up on us and Thoas was over to our house within 2 hours and fixed our brakes and we were back on the road in no time! Very professional /Brakes working great again!

In Key West, you meet people every day without even trying. One contact you must have is Hughes Mobile Car Repair. They saved our stay when our car broke down, and multiple warning lights started flashing. We tried several shops, but they were either closed (despite their websites saying otherwise) or lacked the staff to diagnose and fix our car.
We called Thomas Hughes, and though they couldn't answer immediately as they were assisting someone else, they returned our call within five minutes and arranged a meeting time and place.
They were honest, reasonably priced, extremely knowledgeable, and very friendly. Highly recommend!
Thanks to our new favorite go to mechanics!

A delayed post, but had to post a car problem experience that happened on Big Pine Key, while on vacation, back in late April. Somehow a rock put a hole in my radiator and caused an immediate overheat situation. Our first call was to Thomas Hughes Mobile Mechanic. Even though they were busy, Thomas and his wife, Christina managed to come from Key West to address the issue. Thomas immediately found the problem and fortunately a local NAPA store had one radiator in stock. Within just a few hours, Thomas had the new radiator installed, plus checked other items on the engine, to make sure everything was operating properly. We were simply amazed at how proficient this service was and how nice Thomas and Christina were. So what could've been a 2-3 day delay, turned out to be a minor delay, that got us back on the road quickly. Our sincere thanks to Thomas and Christina for their help.

Had the alternator on our 97 Jeep quit 2 days before we were suppose to leave Sugarloaf / Key West KOA towing behind our motorhome. I was going to try to do it myself, had already found an alternator at NAPA. My wife said hey there’s a Mobile Mechanic here that we could use so we gave Thomas Hughes a call on Monday (4/22). Thomas said he was booked for Monday but had an opening on Tuesday evening. I went out and purchased the alternator and Thomas came out on Tuesday evening. He did an OUTSTANDING job. He not only installed the alternator but also did a diagnostic test to show how the electrical system was now working. He went the extra mile. Thomas was extremely impressionable, knowledgeable and professional. He and his wife are one of the nicest (if not the nicest) folks I have ever been associated. We were extremely lucky to find them. Highly recommend Thomas.

Thomas was awesome. He actually answered the phone, walked me through a couple trouble shooting ideas then we made an appointment for the next day. He kept me updated via text as to when he would arrive and when he was on the way. Showed up as promised on time got the work done and very reasonable priced. Thank you guys!

Amazing people. So nice and fun to talk to while they work. They lifted my jeep and did it perfectly. Also explained everything else I need to get done in detail. Best mechanic I’ve had since I moved here.

Called them up after they had a full day of work and they showed up 45 minutes later! Fixed the problem and explained what the issue was in good detail. Super quick and knowledgeable about all kinds of vehicles too. If I have any more issues I’ll be giving them another ring. I would highly recommend 10/10.
