“More expensive than the big box stores, but stocked with local things not necessarily found at the larger stores....like armadillo repellant. I also like that they have a substantial grill equipment section. And a gun section, though I have never even looked at a gun. Even saw some of my favorite fishing lures there. Like I said, they cater to the local nerds.”
“Best hardware store in the area. If you need it, chances are Ace has it. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, and finding help is never an issue. If they sold lumber I would have no need to go anywhere else.”
“Purchased a lawn mower from Tractor Supply, we had an issue with the mower purchased before leaving the store. The manager on duty and the store owner resolved to problem right away. Pleased with the handling of the issue.”

Brought the item to our local Crystal River store and they took care of me in about two seconds.

“Not only are they cheaper than the huge "home" supply company in CR, but they had the plumbing parts that the big store and the local plumbing supply store did not carry... andnit was 1/4 of the price. GREAT customer service and selection!!AND did you know that Ace backs their Ace Brand products with a Lifetime warranty? I didn't until today when I had to return something. No questions asked... they just gave me a new one. I will ALWAYS go to Ace for any home and garden supplies from now on. ❤️”

Of course all businesses are going to have that one employee or employees that are not very friendly, but for the most part everyone seems to enjoy their job here.”
“I used to not care for this place but I lived in another area in South Florida. It seems up here in Middle Florida that's the workers are much more friendly and caring. And of course they have just about everything I need. Update: But the last 2 times there website said they had it BUT they didn't, after wasting my time & gas. Now 7/14/23 got a deal on Tarnx. 120623 looking for round metal keyhole wall hanger - no luck. But a manager was very helpful in helping me look.. Update 7-23-24 got what I needed, chain saw chain, bar oil, wood hardener, little screws(100pk), hose for oil siphoner. $65.00. Still under OBiden Regime Economy.”

I've been shopping at
Carter's Ace Hardware for years. The people are always knowledgeable, friendly, and eager to help. They have a nice selection of merchandise for home maintenance and repairs. They even have cleaning supplies and more!
I was there yesterday trying to find a product on my own and an Ace employee, Mike noticed that I might need help and came over and instantly found the product I was looking for. He was professional and friendly. The customer service here is always top notch!
It's wonderful that we have this hometown run businesses in our community and I enjoy shopping there.
