We were exhausted and dismayed when we first met Shima at Designer Rug Center in Bal Harbour. We had been trying to get a custom rug made by a very big New York rug maker for well over a year. We waited and waited while none of the deadlines were met. Then we waited again through numerous rounds of strike-offs to get the pattern right, but never did. Shima was like a gift from heaven. She knows her business and is very skilled at creating every type of rug. She delivered exactly when she said she would, kept us informed, and we happily received our new rug right on time. I would recommend Designer Rug Center to anyone and everyone.

Fantastic and Professional Service. First class all the way. Highly recommend!They are a family-owned store. My wife went into the store and worked with Maryam, who is knowledgeable, personable and dedicated to a great product and service. My wife also worked with Shima, Maryam's daughter, who is as professional and delightful as her mother. My wife gave them parameters for what we were looking for and they picked a number of great options. They then brought over the rugs to our home in a very timely matter and we picked one, which had to be cut to size. They cut it perfectly and quickly and within a week we had a beautiful rug to enjoy and admire. Thank you Maryam, Shima and the whole staff. Bravo!

Fabulous rugs. Hand tied persian, contemporary and the one we came home with... shaved and over dyed old persian. The only place we have found that carries this blend of antique and contemporary in one rug. Worth the drive from Marco Island to Miami.

The Amini family run their business with the highest of standards, offering decades of experience, design expertise, a top notch team and a stunning selection of high quality rugs. Their genuine warmth, personalized service and patience helped us zero in on the perfect rug for our new home. We are so grateful and very much look forward to working with them again soon!

I can't say enough wonderful things about Bay Harbor Rug Gallery and it's owner, Maryam Amini. After months of searching for the perfect carpet for a new renovation, I was recommended by another carpet store to go to the Rug Gallery. We were warming greeted by Mrs. Amini and by stacks of rugs, one more gorgeous than the next. Maryam narrowed down choices by color, size and style -- the process is overwhelming. She has a sensational eye and honed in on a dozen or so that could be perfect. I wanted an abstract modern carpet. Her staff deftly displayed carpet after carpet until we narrowed the choice. Then Maryam said they would bring the carpets to my home, without obligation, and set them in the room. Her sixth sense had her include a carpet I never thought I would like --- and in my room, it was by far my favorite. While in my home, I asked her opinion about another carpet for my husbands office. She returned the next day with her men -- and at least a dozen carpets that the men threw on the floor, again and again, turning for the best angle and light. We bought a second one on the spot. The hard part is making the choice.
What , even more importantly, earned my highest praise happened just a few weeks beck. My little visiting grandson got sick during the night and didn't want to tell anyone til morning. I thought my light colored rug was surely lost. I called the Gallery, speaking with Shima, Maryam's lovely daughter. She was absolutely fantastic! While on the phone, she arranged for her staff to pick up the rug within a few hours. Shortly after the rug arrived at store, Shima called me with an accurate estimate and time frame. Today, much sooner than expected, Shima called to see if I was available to have the rug delivered. Within an hour, it was back in my house, looking absolutely as good as new! Many thanks to Maryam and Shima and their staff.
