My total when i booked a small toyota carolla for 3 days was 172$ taxes and rental ins of 24$ when i left the car i recieved another invoice for 292$ there was 120$ in “other” charges never using again

Rental pick up at Aventura Mall - it would be helpful if person working the office would smile, welcome you and be able to speak English. I understand it was a Monday and he might have been having something going on in his life. The gas tank was half empty - oil engine light kept coming on that oil needed to be changed - and tires weren’t the best as traction was iffy in the rain. Avis you can do better!

Terrible experience in Aventura.Probably the worst rent a car, ever.I booked a SUV and when I arrived on perfect time, my car was not available and the guy- Orlis - couldn't care less. He first offered to give me a standard car - at the same price - and I said no. I really needed the SUV for several reasons.He gave me the option of a mini van, which seemed a better idea ad the beginning.When I realized it was too big for me to drive, he was annoyed.I went back and forth with a very frustrating negotiation because his English was bad and he was not willing to help.At that point my only option was to take a basic car. He made me cancel my previous reservation ($ 219) and book a different car, which in theory should have been LESS expensive.Long story short - 1 hour later - I ended up paying MORE than the SUV ($242).Orlis was not even answering my questions about why I am paying more for a smaller car that was not even my choice.His attitude was shocking to me: never seen such bad manners in an Avis rental.I have rented at the same place other times and never had issues.Even returning the car was not a nice experience and took forever, but I am going to skip this part.

Do not expecting a good service at Avis in Aventura Mall- Watch out for your bills- Don't leave that office without your final bill close in front of you. Customer service absolutely bad - Dirty and damage vehicle provided. I am not using that location no more.

The overall experience with Avis car rental was disappointing. Upon pickup, the car was in a dirty, lacked car seats, had no fuel and since I was 25 mins early for pickup, they wanted to charge me $155 more. While driving after visiting the nearest gas station, I discovered safety concerns such as a malfunctioning right turn signal and alignment issues causing shaking on the highway. Additionally, the return process was chaotic with the facility closed and no response to my requests for assistance. The 800# and automated system is an unhelpful. Overall, it was a nightmare experience.

The irresponsibility of this agency has no limit, we arrived and they did not have our vehicle available and with a reservation made a long time ago, I do not recommend this rental car at all, unless you want to have a bad time.

This was the worst experience renting a car I have EVER had. I arrived and showed my rental contract to the guy at the counter and was told they have NO car for me, I had reserved a RAV 4 vehicle. After arguing with him for several minutes he said that they did have a mini van if I wanted to rent that, I agreed to rent that vehicle and when the final numbers for the rental came up on the screen and I was asked to approve the rental the cost of the rental was over $300 more to rent the car and he said that was the cost. I argued about the price for several minutes and then was told that he has a Nisan Sedan would I like to rent that car? I agreed and that coast was only $30 more than the original cost on the rental. When I drove away in that car the windows were filthy (very cloudy) the rear-view mirror was the same. If I had a choice in that rental at that time I would NEVER have rented from AVIS.

I reserved an SUV but there were none available when I arrived at Avis. They stuck me with a much smaller Chevy Malibu. To make matters worse, they charged me the same price. So much for Avis customer service
