I took my bus that had transmission problems and Ted's guys repaired it without problems and changed the transmission with a 12k or 1 year warranty.. very good job right away.

Had a major breakdown on I-4 and lost my Chevy Suburban Transmission, luckily and fortunately I came across Ted’s auto repair service and Ted the owner came to my rescue!
He is a gentleman and a highly professional mechanic and he fixed and replaced my transmission and I am so pleased with the level of service he gave me.
I highly recommend him and I say definitely go there and use his services.
In my book Ted’s Auto repair is a first cabin mechanic which deserves a full 5 Star and an A+ all the way .
Thank you very much again Ted & the crew for taking great care of my suburban!

Never again. I only ended up at this shop because they were, conveniently, the only shop within 5 miles to have a AAA discount.
It took 3 hours just for my car to be seen and diagnosed. When they weren't even that busy. I've been to busier shops and had my car looked at in an hour or less. Or at least was kept up to date if it took longer. But it took them 3 hours to diagnose something that took the tow truck driver 10 minutes.
Then charged me $200 for a part that can be bought for less than a $100. Plus over priced labor for a job, that when finally started, took not even an hour to do.
Next time, I'll have it towed elsewhere, regardless of discount.

TED'S IS SOMEONE I TRUST VERY MUCH WITH MY VEHICLE... AND THE MEN THAT WORK THERE ARE THE BEST... THEY HAVE NEVER DONE ME WRONG.. HE IS A GOOD MAN AND ALL THE STAFF THERE ARE VERY GOOD AT WHAT THEY DO ,THAT IS MY OPINION BECAUSE THEY'VE NOT PROVED ME WRONG.. AND I WILL CONTINUE TO GO IF I HAVE ANY TROUBLE WITH MY VEHICLE... TRUE TO MY WORD I THANK THEM VERY MUCH!! ????

My ac wasn't blowing out cool air.I took my jeep in for a oil change and ask could they take a look at my ac and they never did.No one ever took the time to inspect my ac. They fix my condenser and compressor over a year ago and never place the seals on the condenser.Never again

The worst place for people not bring the car to service call ted auto service I strongly suggest people not bring your car to that shop .they can still money from you or still your vehicle ,they service is horrible bad bad ,they located in Auburndale fl please don’t bring your vehicle to them they scam people took much

I changed my lower control arms over the weekend and thought I had tightened down all the bolts to proper specifications but i didn't have all the correct tools. I had just gotten off work and I stopped in 15 minutes before they closed and they checked out all my work said it was good but the bolts weren't fully tightened they threw a breaker bar on them and tightened down. Thank you for the help I truly appreciate the assist

I recently took my vehicle to Ted’s and I was not satisfied to say the least. I took it in for a second opinion on a problem with my engine and requested a diagnostic to be run. I dropped my car off Wednesday night so they could start working on it the next day. On Thursday, I didn’t receive a call all day so I decided to call them around 3:30/4:00 pm. I asked how things were going and if there was an update on the diagnostic test. Ted said he would go speak with the mechanic working on my vehicle and give me a call back with an update…except I never got a call back. Then Friday I called Friday morning, same thing was told the technician assigned to my car wasn’t there at the moment and that I would receive a call later. Didn’t receive a call back all day, so I call back around 4 pm and then spoke to the technician. He gave me my diagnostic results and informed me that I would need all new spark plugs, all new ignition could, and a new valve gasket. He sent me an estimate of over $800…didn’t seem right to me. I contacted another mechanic that was recommended to me from a family member. I showed him the estimate I got from Ted’s and he said he could do all the same work for $470…So I then picked up my car Monday and took it over to this other mechanic which he then lifted my hood, inspected my car with me there and showed me what was physically wrong with engine. Basically my head gasket had worn out and two of my cylinders were getting water/coolant in them and that was why my engine had been misfiring. He looked at all my spark plugs and ignition coils, and showed me that they were all performing fine. Basically he told me a need a new head gasket and that was the problem.
In short, not only did I get misdiagnosed at Ted’s, but was given an estimate with a cost that was almost twice as much as I could’ve gotten their recommended repairs elsewhere. Their communication was also VERY subpar and lacking.
I would not recommend…

They took almost an hour to do a simple oil change. Then they forgot to even put the oil cap back on and oil was all over the entire engine and I found this out when I saw smoke coming from my hood when I was all the way in Plant City. I got it back to them and they thought they could get rid of the oil on the engine by spraying it with a hose, because water definitely gets rid of oil, right? This place used to be great, but now it absolutely sucks. I will never come here again and I advise everybody else to do the same.
