May quite possibly be the worst experience with a doctor that my family has ever experienced. If I could give 0 stars, I would. My husband established Lopez as a Primary Care doctor a couple of years ago & saw him for debilitating neck pain. We saw some specialists recommended for that scenario, case closed. Fast forward about a year & a half later (December 2023) & we made a routine office visit with Lopez again to discuss preventative medicine options for chronic migraines. We were there maybe 10 minutes, he didn't want to explore options we were interested in & advised us to make an appointment with a Neurologist & sent us home with a prescription. Once we filled the prescription, we did a little research on the specific medicine & discovered that it not only should be used as a 2nd line of defense medication wise, but that is rated as the highest medication with adverse effects & typically used for extreme cases of depression (not something my husband had). We did not feel comfortable using this medication & called the office to see if there were other options we could go with. After getting the run around with his team on the phone, we were told that there would be no way possible to discuss any changes with the Dr. & we would need to come back in for another appointment (when we were literally there the week before). We decided we would just go another route & wait on any meds to be chosen when we could get in with a Neurologist (suggestion of Lopez). We then called to schedule our Neurologist appointment & was turned away because the referral in the system was for a Neurosurgeon & not Neurologist. It was an act of Congress to get the correct referral made, which included an in person visit (1 hour drive from our home) to bring up the matter & at least 3 following phone calls with his office to get the much needed referral changed. Notes from our previous December appointment in no way were accurate or reflected the reason for that particular visit in December & we had to convince staff of what the visit was for to get the referral changed. Long story short- save yourself some time & $$ & if an appointment is not needed immediately, wait for a doctor who can actually give you their time & effort.

Patients beware! TGMG group exaggerates basic symptom description, not sure why... Dr Lopez, whom I have yet to meet, had his assistant call me a couple of hours before my appointment to direct me to the ER instead for a full blood panel. Seriously? No, thank you! ER is for emergencies only. I know my condition isn't urgent nor dire, hence my booking a regular appointment. Was it an excuse to free his calendar? Well, he succeeded and I am now looking for another group/provider since TGMG seems to be denying proper preventative care. Very shameful!

Dr Lopez is a great Dr. He really cares about his patients. I have had one medical issue resolve since seeing him and I think he has a positive effect on his patients health just by knowing him. He is the best Dr. I have had and I’m 55!The support staff he has have been incredible, organized, and in positive moods every time I have been there. That really means a lot these days as everything is more stressful.I always get a good parking spot there as well.

Dr Luis Eric Lopez was my Doctor that I chose upon arriving from Boston. He is by far the best Doctor I have ever had. He is thorough and kind. He has compassion and empathy for his patients. I also really love his Medical Assistant. This young lady is kind and has a great demeanor that projects professionalism. My husband also goes to Dr. Lopez and has high praise for him and his staff. Thank you for the excellent care. We are very grateful.

Nice doctor but there is no way to get in touch with him or talk with anyone in his office which is a serious matter. There should be a way to communicate online or by phone. The link to his website just sends you to the tampa general hospital area which is very confusing and unhelpful. For this reason we needed to switch to another doctor who is more accessible for questions to him and his office staff.

Excellent professional. Above all, he has a kindness that makes my nerves go away when I go to the doctor's visit. He explained the concerns he had very well and I address his comments with professionalism. His assistant is a person who stands out for her kindness and is willing to explain the doctor's recommendations to the patient.

After spending the past 42 years being cared for by military doctors, I was extremely lucky and truly blessed in the selection of Dr. Lopez as my Personal Care Physician after transitioning to Medicare at the young old age of 65. Dr. Lopez displays a sincere interest in my health and wellness, relieving me of any future stress concerning my wellbeing. I truly hit the Lotto with his selection.I've been with Dr. Lopez and his team at the TGMG Apollo Beach Office for over a year now and they've exceeded my expectations by leaps and bounds. They are all true professionals and I know that they're sincerely concerned about my health issues. Doctor visits are informative and insightful as the should be, this is truly an AMAZING & RESOURCEFUL TEAM

Dr Lopez and nursing staff were cheerful and answered all questions I had with regard to my f/u care appointment. Dr went over the test results for my lab work, KUB and x-rays that were done prior to my appointment. I would recommend him if you are looking for a PCP.

Doctor López listen to my needs and makes amendments to medicines that don’t work for me , due to side effects. Sometimes, good results can be accomplished by following a good diet and exercise. I have to see him in 6 months for a follow up and hopefully my AIC and Colesterol levels will be a the level that I want, to stop the pills. Lots of sect control ?

Listened very patiently as I trying to explain about my health history. He then explained the plan he would like to take! He made an appointment for a Covid shot. And then a couple appointments with specialist.Mainly, he seemed genuinely concerned about my health!!
