Apalachicola Chocolate & Coffee Company
75 Market St, ApalachicolaThis has to be one of the best coffee/ bakery/ chocolate shop in the country. Add to that some of the best Gelato every you have something for everyone. In a way I'm glad I don't live there as I would gain at least 20 pounds.
If you are ever in Apalachicola, you must stop here. Over a week we sampled their chocolate, their coffee, their deserts and the Gelato. Every thing was excellent.

The Biscuit Factory
254 Water St, ApalachicolaBig tasty biscuits, but they can run out. They were down to sausage egg & cheese when we got there, and we got two of the last of those. Located in old warehouse district along the river, interesting area to explore.

High Five Dive Bar
131 Commerce St, ApalachicolaGreat people, my 10-year-old daughter even enjoys this place. She usually has met everyone in the courtyard prior to leaving. Last time, I had to pull her away from a competitive cornhole game with adults.

Cafe Con Leche
234 Water St, ApalachicolaGreat little Cuban cafe in the heart of the historic district. I have not had a good cup of Cafe Con Leche outside of Haleigh near Miami. This was a close second! Had a light breakfast of scrambled eggs with cheese and several strips of bacon. Nice homey feel that had a lunch menu that made me want to go back! Friendly staff and quick service! Highly recommend this local restaurant for a coffee, breakfast, danish or lunch! Shop Local, Support Local, Eat Local! Florida Man Approved!

The Station Raw Bar & Liquor Store
53 Market St, ApalachicolaFood was good but we all agreed that a little less salt in the batter would have been better. I like salt in my food but it had a little to much.
Now past that we really enjoyed it. Good local bears, good service, order came out fast.

Up The Creek Raw Bar
313 Water St, ApalachicolaA staple to visit in Apalachicola. Excellent views of the river from outside seating. Order like a fast food location, and find a good seat while you wait for the order to be brought to you.

The Franklin Café
The Gibson Inn, 51 Ave C, ApalachicolaHad a pleasant dinner with my wife and daughter for my wife's birthday. Our server, Sara was great. She was attentive, helpful and made us feel like enjoying our dinner was the most important task for the evening.
I had the stuffed flounder. Crab was good, the fish was a little over done.
The restaurant had a charming decor and the wine selection was the best I have seen so far in this part of Florida.
I recommend this restaurant.

Owl Café
15 Ave D, ApalachicolaWe had a mid-day Thanksgivig meal here last week. We sat outside, along the side of the porch because there was no shade on the big deck. We both had the traditional turkey dinner, which also came with ham. The meal came with two sides, so we both ordered mashed potatoes, and one of us got the dressing and the other got the green beans so we could share those. My husband had pecan pie for dessert, and I had the pumpkin tart. The food was generally good, and portions were generous - we took half our meals home with us. There were a couple of small issues that were not favorable. When we ordered our meals, our server brought our utensils wrapped in napkins - the utensils were cheap plastic, and they were wrapped in paper napkins. When the meals arrived, we asked the server if we could get real silverware, and she brought us some without complaint. However, we found it a bit annoying that we were expected to eat a meal costing over $50 each with these cheap plastic utensils. Additionally, when we received the bill, they added 3.5% for using a credit card. One would think that when a restaurant is charging these types of prices, they would build that fee in. It's not like we were eating at a food truck. Friends in the area have told us they like the Owl Cafe, and I would go back again on non-holiday, but I would probably not return for a Thanksgiving dinner because we felt it was pretty expensive.
