Call 1 I call Buy Rite, Apalachicola, FL to inquire about filling an out of town scrip. I am told it can be filled. My doctor's office calls it in.Call 2 When I call to verify that it is ready prior to driving over, a second Buy Rite pharmacist tells me that he refuses to fill based on my state of residence (Fyi, the scrip has no connection to reproduction. I am a senior citizen)Call 3 I call CVS, Apalachicola to fill scrip. CVS is unable to fill bc after refusing to fill scrip, Buy Rite has billed Medicare for it anyway.Call 4. I report Buy Rite to Medicare, and open an insurance fraud investigation.If Buy Rite's corporate policy is to refuse out of stater's scrips then say so up front. I am not here for a fight. I will simply go elsewhere.However, Buy Rite refused to fill the scrip and then billed my insurance for that scrip.I have been enjoying this area for years. Most companies here are honest and pleasant to deal with.But fraud is fraud. Be aware.

I’m an “out-of-towner” and needed otc meds but wasn’t sure what to buy. The pharmacist didn’t hesitate to stop what he was doing to assist me. A1 customer service, plus it was very well stocked. They know their products.

Pharmacist Patrick Wahlquist informed me to my prescription would not be fulfilled though the same script from the same provider was filled by their location in December. When asked if there was a company policy regarding this, Patrick Wahlquist insisted that the Florida Law gives him the right to refuse to fill any script unilaterally. When asked if there is a company policy that dictates procedure or if this was his arbitrary decision, he stated there was no policy. When asked to provide that information in writing, Mr. Patrick Wahlquist refused. Throughout this encounter, Mr. Wahlquist visibly had his hackles raised and violated my privacy by blurting the name of my prescription out loud from behind his desk. I look forward to what Buy Rite's parent company has to say about this, and what standing company policies apply to their employees.

Very friendly and professional customer service. For once, I didn't get hassled like at another pharmacy I've gone to and didn't have to wait all day to get my script filled. I'm going here for now on even though it's the opposite way of where we'd go.

Super rude pharmacist. Tried to avoid giving our son his medication for adhd and most probably because my husband had his work attire on. My sons doctor upped his dosage on the same medication that was filled a couple weeks earlier. We offered to bring the other one back, we offered to video us dumping them down the toilet, just anything to get my sons medication and the pharmacist just kept being difficult. Everyone has a bad day and I've been here before but this was ridiculous.

I spoke with someone and they informed me that my prescription was ready. I drove 20 minutes to get there and the rude pharmacist stated that he would not fill my prescription and that I needed to get a local doctor.No explanation as to why he would not fill it, or why I was told it was ready, other than that my doctor was not "local" lol..

At first, I would have given them 5 stars just because they are NOT the pharmacy from hell, which is CVS in Apalachicola. But then I called up to change my prescription to this Buy-Rite, and see that Buy-Rite is GREAT!! What a difference. If you're from out of town, and think CVS (and its deranged employees) is your only option, it's not. Fast, efficient, helpful and just plain normal. YAY...

The people who work there are extremely welcoming. The pharmacist trys to get to know each customer individually instead of acting like the customer is just another number.
