“Just got out of the store happy like a mofo. Ruben really took care of me. God bless him. I will definitely recommend this location to do business with. He provided exceptional service.”
“The owner was very helpful and accommodating! Went out of his way to help my son and I find the Yeezy’s we’ve been looking all over for. Was blown away by the experience we had there, will definitely go back again. Thank you!”
“I went to buy a suitcase and a wonderful sales associate named Kimberly was such a marvelous help coming through with the perfect item! What a fantastic store and thank you, Kimberly!”
“Today is the first time I visited this thrift store, I am able to find an original oil painting for $8, and small Turkish hand-painted vase for $3, what a deal! The employees are helpful and friendly, I am enjoyed to shop at this place.”

2921 S Orlando Dr STE 210, Sanford“This is such a fun store! There's a little bit of everything, with prices for even the tightest of budgets. The people who work here are amazing, and work hard to help those struggling in the community afford items that can help get them back up on their feet. If you're looking for a fun place to shop, I definitely recommend it!”
“Great place with plenty of things to choose from. This place is for people who really are looking for treasures and don't mind the adventure. Great staff, reasonable prices, friendly owner. If you're looking for the best antique store in Orlando, or the best thrift store in Orlando; this may be it. Overall just a really great and unique Central Florida antique store. Highly recommend.”
“I absolutely love this place! I just left with a whole bag of clothes for $3.00 on the green stick .25 cents sales. Always very nice and humourous volunteer staff there! Can't wait for next Tuesday ?”
“Visited this store to look for a special birthday toy for my child. The staff was very friendly and helpful when my analytical little wanted a couple items lifted down from high shelves for further inspection, they were more than happy to help. Great prices, the item we purchased would have been over $100 new in store but we found it for $35!”

2054 FL-436 #140, Winter Park“I am somewhat a frequent customer at the boys and girls club in Casselberry. I’ve always found the store clean and quite organized and easy to get around and shop. Several of the store employees have always been willing and accessible to accommodate my questions and assist me. One employee stands out above the rest her name is Lilia and has always been quite professional and courteous and willing to help me. I find their pricing is quite reasonable and will continue to shop thereWeekly. If we could clone a certain employee Lilia would be a fine place to start.”

1425 Howell Branch Rd, Winter Park“Best donation service near by winter park. Ample space of donation area. Space is neat and very well maintained. Quick service by staff. Staff are friendly and very cooperative. This place is good option for donation. Five star for quality place and quality service”
“Everyone there seemed very nice. Due to the limited hours/days open you had a pretty decent crowd at opening. Decent selection, fair prices on most things. Like most places every so often things would be randomly priced a little high but all in all good deals. Ill stop by again sometime for sure. Thank you!”

770 S Orange Blossom Trail, Apopka“The items are great there's a great selection but the prices are so high I never spend any money. They should be focused on trying to get people to part with their money but I never have any incentive because my money doesn't go far enough for a used thrift store. The furniture is unreal and the delivery is $75 minimum. I think they need to reevaluate pricing because whoever is pricing the items is smoking crack.”
“Cute “boutique” thrift open morning and early afternoon on Friday, Saturday and Tuesday. Very friendly staff and reasonable prices. We found some good music CDs and some useful bits for crafting.”
“Great location and easy access. It’s set up well to take the donated goods right from your car with a minimum of effort and time. The staff always ask if you want a receipt. Makes donating clothing and household goods a snap.”
“This is my favorite kind of thrift store... It's the kind of place that's a family-run affair, the brothers are always super helpful and knowledgeable about what they have in stock, just ask! It's the type of place that you have to walk over stuff sometimes, but in the absolute best way because it's chock full of treasures!”

3955 W Colonial Dr, Orlando“I was in the salvation army in Orlando Florida from 9/24/2021 to March 3/27/2022. I graduated on March 27th 2022. I am forever grateful and thankful for that place. I moved to Jacksonville Florida from Pennsylvania for a job and while in Jacksonville Florida last July I drank and things got bad. I went back to Pennsylvania for a few weeks and decided to come back to Florida and I took a plane to Orlando Florida and got accepted into the salvation army. Orlando salvation army is a great place. Very great staff work there and the majors are the best they care about everyone's well being. It's a family there. God picked that place out for me and I am happy he did.”

The only bad thing is, I just moved to the area and it’s down the street! Great job everyone and thank you.”
“Wow! You can find so many cool things at the Apopka Goodwill store. I was looking for costume pieces for an upcoming event and found so much more. I think I spent at least two hours exploring all the treasures hidden throughout the store. Worth a look! #adventuresofMimiandminime #ApopkaGoodwill #yelporlando”
“Thanks so much for the help and treating us like part of the Family. Thankfully the staff of this nice community my childrens got their blessings, I'm so happy to see my children exited for everything that they needed was supplied to all them.”
“im not from this area of orlando but when im around here i always stop by and hit the kids books section. this store has the best selection of kids books and in really good condition! i always walk out with like 8+books. every section is very organized and clean. homegoods are nice too. size of store is as big as some goodwills.”
“My favorite goodwill but man they’re expense but they have good stuff. I won’t pay a pair of used boys shoes for $25 at goodwill now way. But if you catch some items on sale you’re a winner .”
“Pretty good it’s organized there’s a good variety of stuff the employees are nice I didn’t have any problems the only thing it is kinda pricey for a thrift store and there is no dressing rooms”
“The staff at this location are wonderful and helpful. I had lost my phone there. The manager quickly started to check the cameras to see where I last had it and the staff bringing out the bins said they would help me look. I was so distraught that the one employee gave me a hug. They all cheered when I found my phone. So thankful for such kind and caring staff! Thank you!”
“I had the opportunity to visit Boomerang Thrift and Gift today, and I must say, I went in with fairly modest expectations but walked out genuinely impressed. As someone who enjoys browsing through thrift stores, I’ve encountered a wide range of atmospheres, from cluttered and chaotic to carefully curated. Boomerang firmly falls into the latter category. Right from the moment I stepped inside, it was clear that a lot of thought and effort has been put into maintaining this space. The organization was absolutely top-notch — everything felt like it had its rightful place, which made navigating the store a breeze. In a space like this, where a variety of goods can sometimes overwhelm, Boomerang’s sense of order was a refreshing surprise.
What really stood out to me, however, was the sheer variety of items available. It wasn’t just your typical second-hand store fare; the selection was eclectic, offering a blend of different styles, eras, and types of items. Whether you’re looking for a quirky piece of home décor, unique accessories, or some hidden gem, Boomerang gives off the feeling that you could easily stumble upon something truly special here.
An unexpected bonus that immediately caught my attention was the presence of both fitting rooms and a bathroom. This may sound like a minor point, but if you’re someone who frequents thrift stores, you’ll know that these conveniences are becoming a rarity. Many thrift stores are doing away with fitting rooms altogether, which can make shopping difficult, especially when you’re dealing with second-hand items that vary in size and fit. The fact that Boomerang still offers fitting rooms is a huge plus, as it allows customers to try on clothes before committing to a purchase. This is something I really appreciated, and it made the shopping experience far more comfortable and convenient. Similarly, the availability of a bathroom adds to the overall customer-friendly environment — another small detail that makes a big difference.
Despite all the positives, there was one aspect of the store that left me somewhat disappointed: the men's clothing section. While the store as a whole had an interesting mix of items, the men’s selection was fairly limited. For a thrift store that’s so well put together, I was hoping for more variety in the men’s department. It felt like the focus leaned more heavily on women's and household items, which left fewer options for men.
Additionally, the way the clothes were organized was something I found less than ideal. Rather than sorting items by size or type, the clothing was organized by color. Now, I understand that organizing by color can create a visually pleasing aesthetic, but for practical shopping purposes, it’s not the best method. As someone who was hoping to quickly find items in my size, this made the process a bit more tedious than it needed to be. It would make much more sense to arrange clothing by size and type, making it easier for customers to quickly find what they’re looking for without having to sift through racks based on color alone.
Overall, while there’s room for improvement in terms of the men's clothing selection and how the items are categorized, I still found Boomerang Thrift and Gift to be a worthwhile visit. The cleanliness, organization, and thoughtful layout of the store truly stand out, and the added conveniences of fitting rooms and a bathroom significantly enhance the shopping experience. With a bit more attention to how the clothing is organized and a broader selection for men, this store could easily become one of the best in its category.”
