The 100% volunteer staff, including the owner, are incredibly kind, hardworking, and committed to helping foster parents. They are truly an inspiration.
I love coming here, it is my favorite thrift store. The volunteers are always welcoming and they have an amazing selection of gently used/new clothing, shoes, toys, and accessories and their prices are very reasonable. Their Kid Pack Room is especially heartwarming, providing brand new items to foster children free of charge, thanks to the generosity of local businesses and community members.
Straight From the Heart does a lot of good…….they offer free CPR and First Aid classes to caregivers, helping them meet licensing requirements and ensure the safety of the children in their care. The thrift store's sales help cover the center's expenses, allowing them to continue offering vital resources and support to foster families.
What makes this place truly special is the love and dedication of everyone involved. They provide opportunities for the children to come to the store and learn valuable skills. Yes, there are children here, and yes, they can make noise, but they are learning important life skills that will help them in the future. So please be patient and appreciate the hard work and dedication these amazing volunteers put into helping foster children.

I ordered a dress in my usual size, but despite being on the smallest end of the size range, it was still way too big.
The measurements provided were inaccurate—the bust and sleeves were too large, and the overall fit was completely off. I provided multiple photos and clear justification for an exchange or return, but the company still refused to accommodate.
I’ve ordered dresses from Lulu’s and Nordstrom without any issues, and this wasn’t about the price—it was about the design I liked. However, if a company makes it this difficult for customers to get the right size on their first order, it ruins the experience. Expecting customers to take 10–15 photos just to be denied a return or exchange is unreasonable.
This was one of the worst shopping experiences I’ve had, and I won’t be ordering from here again. Now it’s just sitting in my closet

The things we learned were crucial for optimal diving and safety while under water. While Jeff was demoing, I was able to understand how serious the competency of these skills are, but felt comfortable taking on these new skills. I was pushed just enough outside of my comfort zone that I could tell I was learning, but not so far that I was fearful. Jeff did a great job of leading our group. It was an enjoyable weekend!

Got Game Sports Summer Camp
12814 Maxella Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90066This camp is AWESOME! My 9-year-old son wakes up every morning excited to go. As we approach the daily sign-in table, he’s often dancing to the energetic music playing at arrival time. He feels safe in this anti-bullying environment, and his confidence has grown so much. He’s made friends outside of school and participates in most activities, which are designed to encourage interaction among kids.
This camp welcomes all types of kids—whether they’re into sports, video games, academics, or art, everyone is treated equally. While some kids naturally form cliques, I appreciate that there’s no bullying, which is unfortunately common at school. Despite the range of ages attending, my son’s camp friends are a mix of older and younger kids. He looks up to the older ones and enjoys helping the younger ones. Being that he has no siblings his age at home, it’s a great opportunity for him to spend time playing with peers rather than adults, which often results in less screen time (something he loves a bit too much).
According to my son, he loves the friendly coaches, loves most of the games (especially gaga ball), and looks forward to pizza day. During summer, the camp also offers a weekly field trip, which is a fun option. My son chose not to attend the trips, and the camp was perfectly fine with that, which I appreciated. Having the choice is a great feature.
I rate this camp as one of the best in Los Angeles. However, it can be a bit pricey, especially when extended care is needed, which adds an extra fee. That said, I appreciate that they offer extended care as an option, which many camps don’t and it’s critical for working parents. While the regular pickup time of 3:00–3:30 PM doesn’t suit a typical 9-to-5 schedule, it’s common for camps in LA. When my child comes home every day happy, it’s worth every penny in the long run.
A note for parents: My son attends camp year-round—during summer, Thanksgiving week, winter break, and spring break—for a total of about 10 weeks annually. That’s a lot of camps! We’ve tried a wide variety, from specialty camps like basketball and Roblox computer camps, to general day camps, ranging from expensive to less expensive. After each camp week, I asked my son what was his favorite things about the camp and why. Ultimately, we budget for a mix of specialty camps but return to Got Game for most weeks because it consistently delivers a positive experience.

DON DON DONKI Kapolei
500 Kamokila Blvd, Kapolei, HI 96707Local style--if a new store/restaurant is opening, especially a chain that was not previously in Hawaii, we locals will stand in line to go there. We will generally go there in droves for maybe two weeks to a month. Then things return to normal. So the new establishment shouldn't judge their success by the crowds that go there for the first month. So it is with Don Don Donki. People will not drive across the Koolaus or Hawai'i Kai like they might have done this past two weeks. So there will be plenty of parking and it will be easier to roll your cart down the aisle without bumping into another cart. The place is big. So yes, you can easily roll your cart down the aisle without bumping into a cart going in the opposite direction. There seem to be more Japanese and some Korean merchandise, than American. And there are those big signs (making you feel like you were in Japan) with the mascot. And I hope as time passes they will stop playing the jingle, Don Don Donki. It gets on your nerves and might be a reason to get in and out as soon as possible. Of the super markets- Whole Foods, Safeway, H Mart, Times and Don Quiote, Donki always seemed the more economical. So I know families that will shop at Donki for most of their food items. Except for the sale items (lost leaders) I'm not sure the items are all that cheap. So I might buy items that are harder to find because they are from Japan but not necessarily other items. And even then many of these items can be found at Times, Don Quiote and Marukai since they are all under one ownership. And even our Costcos have lots of Asian products. So I think the real reason you might continue to go there is because of the food court. When I went not all the restaurants were opened. But even the food items that were to-go inside the market were doing good business. So let's wait until all the outlets are open.

Being that he has no siblings his age at home, it’s a great opportunity for him to spend time playing with peers rather than adults, which often results in less screen time (something he loves a bit too much).
According to my son, he loves the friendly coaches, loves most of the games (especially gaga ball), and looks forward to pizza day. During summer, the camp also offers a weekly field trip, which is a fun option. My son chose not to attend the trips, and the camp was perfectly fine with that, which I appreciated. Having the choice is a great feature.
I rate this camp as one of the best in Los Angeles. However, it can be a bit pricey, especially when extended care is needed, which adds an extra fee. That said, I appreciate that they offer extended care as an option, which many camps don’t and it’s critical for working parents. While the regular pickup time of 3:00–3:30 PM doesn’t suit a typical 9-to-5 schedule, it’s common for camps in LA. When my child comes home every day happy, it’s worth every penny in the long run.
A note for parents: My son attends camp year-round—during summer, Thanksgiving week, winter break, and spring break—for a total of about 10 weeks annually. That’s a lot of camps! We’ve tried a wide variety, from specialty camps like basketball and Roblox computer camps, to general day camps, ranging from expensive to less expensive. After each camp week, I asked my son what was his favorite things about the camp and why. Ultimately, we budget for a mix of specialty camps but return to Got Game for most weeks because it consistently delivers a positive experience.

We will generally go there in droves for maybe two weeks to a month. Then things return to normal. So the new establishment shouldn't judge their success by the crowds that go there for the first month. So it is with Don Don Donki. People will not drive across the Koolaus or Hawai'i Kai like they might have done this past two weeks. So there will be plenty of parking and it will be easier to roll your cart down the aisle without bumping into another cart. The place is big. So yes, you can easily roll your cart down the aisle without bumping into a cart going in the opposite direction. There seem to be more Japanese and some Korean merchandise, than American. And there are those big signs (making you feel like you were in Japan) with the mascot. And I hope as time passes they will stop playing the jingle, Don Don Donki. It gets on your nerves and might be a reason to get in and out as soon as possible. Of the super markets- Whole Foods, Safeway, H Mart, Times and Don Quiote, Donki always seemed the more economical. So I know families that will shop at Donki for most of their food items. Except for the sale items (lost leaders) I'm not sure the items are all that cheap. So I might buy items that are harder to find because they are from Japan but not necessarily other items. And even then many of these items can be found at Times, Don Quiote and Marukai since they are all under one ownership. And even our Costcos have lots of Asian products. So I think the real reason you might continue to go there is because of the food court. When I went not all the restaurants were opened. But even the food items that were to-go inside the market were doing good business. So let's wait until all the outlets are open.

The measurements provided were inaccurate—the bust and sleeves were too large, and the overall fit was completely off. I provided multiple photos and clear justification for an exchange or return, but the company still refused to accommodate.
I’ve ordered dresses from Lulu’s and Nordstrom without any issues, and this wasn’t about the price—it was about the design I liked. However, if a company makes it this difficult for customers to get the right size on their first order, it ruins the experience. Expecting customers to take 10–15 photos just to be denied a return or exchange is unreasonable.
This was one of the worst shopping experiences I’ve had, and I won’t be ordering from here again. Now it’s just sitting in my closet

Any time I've gone there (three times in recent decades) I stop to relax, and it seems like some fun always happens to find me. This last time I was hiking around town, about six miles in all (almost all south and east of downtown), and while on Young street I stopped into this establishment. Actually, I was outside and Sylvester spoke up, and I went inside. I didn't take any tour, because I was merely passing through, and the day was pure imp;ulse, but we had the most incredible and brilliant conversation. The memory is special to me because I learned a lot in that short while. From his friendliness and his openness to share so much (with a white guy, yes), five stars are merited. I look forward to whenever I can return to Greenwood, and perhaps take one of the tours, which implies ahead-planning of course.

Walked over and they told us to let it cool down and bring it over. We were on vacation, and they drove us back to our rental. The next day we picked up our truck with a new water pump. Dollar General is adding more of its private label food offerings to stores, following similar moves by big retailers like Walmart and Amazon as store brands keep growing in popularity. The store is launching new items under its own labels, including ice cream, cinnamon rolls, coffee syrups, and salad dressings.
