I needed a suit, sport coat and other things when in town (I live elsewhere). I’d been wanting to visit the shop from prior visits to Wilmington. What I found was a great selection, good advice and a dryly humorous Leonard Simon, who obviously enjoyed ordering me around while trying his best to make sure the plethora of alterations I needed worked. Four days later everything was ready, the alterations were perfect, and I left happy with the quality of menswear, the service, the price, and the service. It’s been a Wilmington institution for 50 years, and now I know why.

This is by far the preeminent place in Delaware to purchase fine men’s clothing. Service, quality, the whole 360 experience.That’s it. That’s the entire review. Don’t waste time hunting through department stores with inferior-quality, mass-produced items. Don’t waste time with meh chain stores. Just come here. You won’t regret it. Leonard is an icon for a reason.

Having just completed a long-distance purchase for my son who is a student at the University of Delaware, I can't give enough accolades for how Leonard Simon helped my son select, fit, tailor, and accessorize a beautiful new suit. It is a pleasure, in this day and age, to be able to deal with a knowledgeable, and dedicated professional who embodies old-world abilities and personal service. Thanks, Leonard, and all of the staff at Wright and Simon.

I walked in, and calmly said “I’m just looking around.” The store owner, (tall older man with little to no hair) is talking with a man all too casually to which I can only assume the man works there….he then glances up at me with a distasteful look in his eyes & snarls “okay, I’m currently busy with another customer”. Now both of these men are glaring at me, as if I should just get out entirely. Mind you…Race does matter. I myself am a minority, and these were two white men to put things in to perspective. I came in with a fat wad of cash in my pocket, but only was wearing athletic attire. I walked out feeling isolated, and disrespected. Retail is a customer service job entirely, and I believe there’s a way you can talk to people who are looking to spend their own hard earned money on your service….because I can get a suit anywhere. It’s the service I’m walking in to pay for. The hospitality. The respect.10 out of 10 WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.If I could leave 0 stars I would.

It's rare to find a business with customer service this good. I was in need of a suit for an urgent matter. Leonard (the proprietor) made the impossible possible and turned around a suit with alterations in one day. Perfectly fitted. Leonard Simon is an institution in men's clothing in Delaware for a reason. He carries high-quality products, expertly fits for what will look best on your body type, and the alternations are executed flawlessly.Do yourself a favor - skip the mediocre chain men's stores and go get yourself quality pieces from an artist. You'll never regret a purchase at Wright & Simon.

Man I spoke to was very rude on the phone..I asked a simple question about copying a design/fit for another suit and the owner proceeded to talk to down to me very condescendingly. There is a nice and not so nice way to talk to peoople...and I will never shop here or reccommend to anyone

If you want a REAL suit, this is your place. I was here last Saturday and it was impressive.It reminds me of my old home town shops where you went to get clothing that not only top quality but durable, carefully designed up to the smallest detail and SHARP.I'm coming to get top notch suits with them through out next year and you should too.

Wright & Simon is an institution! I’ve never had a better experience buying a suit. Especially as a tall guy this can be challenging. Mr. Simon is an expert in his craft. He made sure to find me the best fitting suit that was versatile for my needs. He ensured it was tailored to fit me perfectly. I’m extremely pleased and will be back!
