I never write reviews, but this staff deserves it. I took my senior cat here for their emergency services. What we thought was a simple diagnosis soon turned very complicated. They were with my cat every step of the way, and were in contact with me about everything going on with him. They even let us have more time with him when he became critical and made sure he was comfortable and surrounded by us. In the end, we had to put him down. They were so kind and even let his bonded brother come to be a part of the day to say goodbye. We received a hand written card today for him. I can’t thank them enough for their care and kindness during this unexpected loss. ? Thanks to Dr. Drummond, Dr. Kearn, and the awesome vet techs for everything.

Unfortunately we had to bring our oldest cat here as it appeared he’d had a stroke. We had to say goodbye to him and the staff, who had never seen us before, was just so wonderful and caring. Not just that day, but also when I went to pick up his ashes and paw print. Then today, we received a card signed by all the staff that day??? THANK YOU

Windcrest has seen 6 of my pets over the last 4 years. I brought my pet rats there for checkups, they helped me treat them when they got sick. They were always really sweet to my rats, gave them many pets and searches. When one of my babies' pneumonia got out of hand we had no choice but to put him down. That was when Covid just started so we couldn't come in. We handed the rat to their emergency room vet and came back to pick up his ashes after some time. The staff was very sweet and compassionate. They sent us a card signed by staff afterwards too. We recently got another rat put down and we were able to come in this time. Once again the staff was super nice and gentle with our ratto. They took him into a different room to give him an injection. I see that there's another comment below where they didn't do that for another rat. I'm not sure why. When they brought him back he was sleepy and I cuddled him until he fell asleep peacefully. Once again they sent us a card in the mail later. Now we have a puppy that we take to Windcrest. I have no complaints there. My only issue is that I can't get her groomed there unless she gets a flu shot, but that's not a big deal since we have a groomer closer to where we live. We moved across the bridge from Windcrest but I honestly don't feel like switching to another vet because I like them so much.

Their emergency room tended to our bunny, and everything about the experience was great. They took fantastic care of Gary, kept us up to date with everything going on - and even sent us home with the best instructions on how to are for our little man once we got home. Can’t say enough good about this hospital and their exotic animal specialist!

Our rat was suffering so my wife called and got a $180 quote to euthanize her. She drives there immediately and they try charging over $350. Ridiculous, to put a rat out of its misery.

My pet rat was a patient here for some time. She developed cancer and I brought her in to be euthanized. It was an extremely traumatic experience. I could hear the vet tech in the back respond to another employee that she would do something as soon as she "puts this rat down." She then came in and proceeded to put the entire length of a long needle through the back of my rat, essentially stabbing her completely through. My rat screamed and stood looking dazed for a few minutes. The tech then said it didn't work and she took her to the back to finish the euthanasia. My sweet rat died in pain and alone without any compassion. It has tainted my memories of her completely. This was a few years ago and I still can't get over the experience. I feel like I failed her. The tech had no compassion and no clearly no experience injecting small animals. The vet who had been treating her never even came in.

If I could give a negative star I would. This place said my cat had allergies went to someone else and found out she fractured her tail. All they cared about was money and made me wait for so long just to not have a clue what was wrong with her. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Made rude comments to me and my cat was bleeding out of her tail.

They took very good care of my 13 year old baby boy. They alway kept us updated on how he was doing. You could call anytime and go in to visit as well. I was very pleased with the care he received. I highly recommend them. The Heverin Family.

Horrible experience. I had taken my lab there a few weeks ago for a visit. Waited and waited and waited in examination room. He had a degenerative disease. I took him there today to say goodbye. Both my dog and I were very anxious. There was noone else in waiting room. We still had to wait 10 minutes for them to "ready " his room...in other words throw a quilt on the floor. He did not want to go back to the room and we all finally coaxed him there. I told them I wanted it all done quickly as he and I were so anxious and I had said my goodbye. They left us in the room for 20 minutes and then came in to discuss the bill!!!!! I was so insulted. When my mother passed away the funeral home did not ask for our credit card!! Every other dog I have put down I was just billed for it! Then another 10 minutes until they finall came in and sedated him It was the worst experience I have ever had with an animal. I would never get near this place ever again.....they are clueless and only in it for the money

We were disappointed that we were not able to see the facilities where our dog was to be boarded. We were told that they were too short staffed to give a tour. They also do not provide any webcams to permit people to see their pets during the stay. They insisted that the dog get a influenza shot (in addition to verifying his other shots). The shot incurred Office exams Vet fee and vaccine fee. The booster (two weeks later) required a tech fee and a vaccine fee. We were also told that the dog would require a fecal test to be boarded. The dog stayed there three time but the test was never accomplished nor were we charged. His most recent visit was a day only visit. We were in Northern NJ when we got a call saying the dog had been biting his tail and required bandaging. A fee was quoted and I agreed as I was too far away to easily collect the dog. When I collected him at 7:00pm, I was told that it was caused by "happy tail" where the dog was wagging and must have injured himself on the fence. The fee charged was also higher than was quoted on the phone. They wanted to schedule a follow up visit but I said I would take him to his regular vet. It seems to me that this facility is more interested in generating revenue than actually caring for the pet! We will not use Windcrest again.

It is no longer about your pet, it is all about the money. They take tremendous advantage over the pet owner's love for their animal. Rates are outrageous and way out of line. Bring a lot of money.. Used to be a very nice place..no longer Look elsewhere, I am.

I took my 16 year cat old Belle there when the other hospitals were “ booked” for the time needed . They kept me informed and gave me options what to do and were compassionate when I needed to spend my last moments with her and they took a picture

Windcrest has been wonderful every step of the way of the adventure of coming to own my sweet rescued bearded dragon. She required a lot of attention and was often in the office for visits. Dr. Hammill and all of the staff have taken great care with my beardie from the time she came to me all the way to the moment she was ready to be put to sleep. I am beyond grateful for their kindness, sensitivity, and personal attention and I highly recommend any of the veterinarians, but Dr. Hammill in particular has done more than I could’ve asked or hoped for. Thank you Dr. Hammill!
