I was looking for a Modern Flames Redstone 36” electric fireplace. Called around to a few local places. Carol at The Fireplace Shoppe, was the first to get me a quote at the price I was looking for. Carol was able to answer all questions and got it shipped to them the next day. I couldn’t recommend them enough.

Bob Harper technical consultant was very helpful with helping me find a chimney services company to contact for inspection of my fireplace.Bob told me what causes creosote buildup. This could cause a chimney fire if not addressed. Having a smokey fire burning wood that's not dried out enough will cause creosote.

Today our new fireplace shelf was installed, and we are totally happy with the service and support we received from The Fireplace Shoppe -- over the years! Perhaps they went through a slump some years ago because our experience has been totally positive for the last two years. Detail: Our fireplace was incorrectly installed by another dealer. We sought information and support from The Fireplace Shoppe and received it free of charge. When it was time to but a shelf (mantle), we turned again to these folks. They walked us through many options and, once we made a choice, provided excellent installation at a reasonable price.

Friendly people, new fireplace doors look good, but very frustrating experience. They never sent the dimensions they promised to send so we could confirm size before finalizing order. So then they showed up with a product that was smaller then we expected and we had to do some extra work on the masonry before they could finish installation. Then they failed to show up for the scheduled second visit. When they did come back and finished install, they left gaps between the frame and the bricks that soot-stained our painted brick the first time we used it. Had to get a different service to seal the gaps.

As a non-paying customer, Bob was nice enough to offer some tips on an inquiry I sent him regarding a gas fireplace in a home I recently purchased. Any business fireplace related is going to these guys! Great help, good customer service, highly recommended!

Don't trust these people for anything!! I went there and met with Bob and picked out a woodstove. I was told they would be out to give an estimate for installation on November 17th. I did meet with Bob on the 17th and he said this would be a straight forward install that he would get a quote together. I waited a week and never received a written quote so I called and spoke to Carol who said she would give the message to Bob to call me. Today is December 11th and still no quote or return calls or emails. If you want to waste your time then call this place.

I ordered a cast stone mantel to replace a traditional wood one. It was a slow process and on install we had a few hiccups. But Bob stayed on it and brought in a painter to solve a few issues we had. It took a while but it came out great and we are very happy with the end result. All weee very nice people to work with.
