In March 2023, I asked Ms. Sophia for crotchet braids and she said that she could do them for $120. I used to come here in 2018-2019 for feed-in braids at $80, which would last about 3-4 weeks, depending on activity. I forgot why I stopped coming here, but now I remember: she has NO idea of professionalism or how to actually do hair. This time, she SEWED in my crotchet braids, using four packs of hair, and weighing me down tremendously. Days 2-4, I removed some of the braids, but that brought me no relief. After 5 days of suffering, I finally removed the braids, hoping to alleviate the pain. Also, while sitting in her chair for 3 hours, she talked on the phone so LOUDLY, yelling in French at whomever was on the receiving end (spoiler alert: it was a Cameroonian man who was also LOUD!). Her space is tiny, maybe 8’x10’, so when she’s speaking at that level, it reverberates and makes the already painful experience even worse. I no longer pay Ms. Sophia to do my braids, as she also up-charges, without warning, for her services. My final total price for sewed-in crotchet braids was $150, an extra $10 for using Cash App.

Yesterday I went to get my hair done in knottless and I guess she was tired cause big different size parts and was done in 4 hours work was rushed braids different sizes like she just wanted to be done was trying to make me pay upfront after I complained about my parts scared I wasn’t going to pay 180 for big different size parts rushed service the price of the service the same but quality not she knew she did me wrong like she wanted the money but really didn’t feel like it effort was trashed gd luck if u go here she might feel like doing u right or just take ur money and make the parts jumbo or different sizes big in the back smaller in the front just to get her moneyService: Hairstyling

I will give the rating of two stars. The experience itself was rushed the braider was asked of pricing and shown a picture of what was expected. Let’s just say she did not follow through with the desired style and upcharged an additional 20$.I would suggest if going here to confirm exact pricing and continue to monitor service or just go somewhere else altogether.There are few braiders in the state so you kinda go where you can .StyleSeat artist are also considerably good.Service: Box Braids

I got my hair done maybe about two weeks ago and I absolutely loved it and still do! Will be going back she did my hair even better than what I asked for. I just love it and she was so willing to give me exactly what I want she’s about her business but it wasn’t just about the money. I was so happy once I got out the chair and looked in the mirror literally no complaints. Get your hair done here!

This woman has magic, she is very intelligent and is a very soulful woman. She has reasonable charges, definitely would come here again to get my hair done and to feel the lovely welcome in her store. I pray and bless her that she gets bigger with her business. Yea its small but she is better then most I've been to who was just about the money.. I had most of my life people having my head look funky and humiliating and scared me. This woman does people right.
