I bought a car here and unfortunately it was totaled a week later. The insurance Co needs title and Smith VW is giving run around. Business office lied to me about whereabouts of title. This is on top of paying a monstrous premium for the privilege of having them do title work.
DEAR OWNER, SPARE ME THE PATRONIZATION. IT ONLY TAKES 30+ DAYS FOR TITLE WORK BECAUSE YOU LET IT SIT ON YOUR DESK FOR 2 WEEKS! LIKELY LONGER HAD I NOT CALLED. YOU CHARGE $500 FOR WHAT COSTS $250. REGARDLESS, LYING BLATENTLY TO A CUSTOMER IS A BAD IDEA. I'LL GIVE YOU A LITTLE CREDIT FOR THE WEAK APOLOGY. YOUR STAFF WOULD RATHER IGNORE AND LECTURE CUSTOMERS THAN APOLOGIZE.

A little pricey but it's a dealership so that's pretty much exactly what you pay for.
I recommend going to the dealer for major services every now & then, but go to a local mechanic for the more frequent services and consumables (brakes, tires, etc.)
Very helpful staff that serviced my VW lickety-split ??

Great service, the only place to bring your VW for factory parts, and we'll trained mechanics.

I had my 2016 GTI here for service because I heard a banging noise in the rear suspension area. This dealer is located close to my work so I brought it to Smith instead of my normal VW dealer. Later that day, the service team contacted me and said there was an issue with the exhaust hanger that was a resulting in the banging noise I heard. They order it and it was fixed the next day. I went to pick my car up the service tech told me that fixed the exhaust, but the bushings on the rear sway bar need to be replaced. I asked them to replace the bushings they said they couldn't, but the noise I bought the car in for was fixed. $410 I got a new exhaust hanger and the exact same problem. They also wrote on the invoice that client concerns have been satisfied. They did not address the issue. Do yourself a favor and go to any other VW than this one. I called my regular VW Garnet Valley explained the situation he laughed and said bring it in we can fix it. Save yourself time and money by avoiding Smith VW. Two full days and hundreds of dollars later I still need to go get my car fixed.

I had been searching for a RAV4 and saw one posted on 7/23/24. Went in that same day to take a look and was told I couldn’t look at it because it hadn’t been inspected and looked over. Why post a car that wasn’t ready? I followed up every day between then and Friday 7/26 and kept getting a different story from Christian, Eddie and Nhojiar. After all that, I got a call on Saturday 7/27 stating the car was ready since 7/26 in the morning when Nhojiar said it wasnt ready 7/26 in the afternoon. Poor communication caused a lost sale for them and wasted time for me. Found a better deal elsewhere with lower miles and newer. Buyer beware.

Husband and I went in to trade in our 2018 VW Jetta Wolfsburg edition for a 2019 VW Tiguan. Our sales rep, Eddy Lopez, treated us with absolute respect. We had great conversation while waiting for the evaluation of our Jetta, which made the time go by quickly and didn't feel awkward with uncomfortable silence. Eddy Lopez is a great guy. We would recommend him to anyone that needs a new or used vehicle. Many thanks to the entire team at Smith Volkswagen.

If I could give this dealership more stars, I would. This was my first experience purchasing a car (a VW Beetle) and I couldn't have asked for anything better. The staff were wonderful, welcoming, and kind. I worked mostly with Christian Sanchez and was blown away with the level of customer service me and my family received. I would recommend this dealership a million times over. Thank you so much Smith Volkswagen for my beautiful car!

Wonderful service! We recently purchased a used vehicle and also did a trade-in. Christian, our sales person, paid close attention to what we were looking for and gave us time to make a decision. The purchasing process was smooth and quick. I love my car. Thank you, Smith Volkswagen.

Cristian is the best sales person! He made the process so easy and fast! Definitely recommend this dealership! My sister has bought here previously and I had the same great experience!

Horrible work and service management. I went because my car had the control line light on, they said it was some sensors, I paid to have it fixed and after two weeks when I picked it up they said it was ready and the problem was solved, when I drove home the vehicle had no power, I checked when I arrived and the engine cover had oil, when I told them that they said “maybe it's the turbo” but they didn't tell me that according to them they had seen that there was an oil leak in the turbo. I took them and on the way the command light came on again ("something they had fixed") according to themselves an oil leak does not turn on the command light so the work done was of no use. They say in the new diagnosis that the problem is different from the first diagnosis and I have to pay for the first job, now for the second job and they were not responsible for what they changed and I turned it back on. They were totally negligent in delivering a vehicle and saying that it was ready and fine, they were negligent and in not telling me that they saw an oil leak when I picked up the car, if I had not written to them to complain they would not have told me why according to the manager “saw it as insignificant” for what I paid that it was the problem, it was not the problem and on top of that they say “the vehicle is fine” ?

The Smith Volkswagen service team is amazing. They are very helpful and do top-notch work.
In addition, they don't try to sell me things I don't need. Today I'm in for 70k service, and they recommended front brakes. Pads were more than 90% worn. This is the first time they mentioned brakes since I last had them done. Other shops have tried to recommend brakes when pads were less than 50% worn!
Consistent top notch service and quality work are why I trust Smith VW with my car.

I would like to thank Jeff Kessler for turning our frown upside down. He went above and beyond to keep a valued customer and showed great customer service. He showed us that there are some Great Sales Manager that actually care about the customer and values them. I was ready to return my 2024 vehicle back to the dealership but with the help of Jeff I can enjoy my Vehicle with no regrets. Thanks Jeff

If I could get serivce 0 stars I would. My appointment was 7:30 and I was there at 7:26, the staff members acknowledge that I was there and decided to open the door at 7:35, once I walked away from the doors. When I came in no greeting and the staff was rude. Going back to the West Chester location, they are more like family and doors are always open no matter how yearly I show up.

They like to bait and switch loans. X APR with a $3500 extended warranty, Y without. Guess which one has the lower rate? I think that’s against the law…
I’d sooner take the bus than buy a car from Smith VW.
