We arrived at the hotel after 8 hours in the car and were told the restaurant closed at 8.00pm. We had a mediocre meal but when we tried to order desert for our granddaughter at 7.45 we were told the chef had left and restaurant was closed. The staff were sarcastic and rude and basically didn't care. Tried to reach the Assistant General Manager but the voicemail was full. Moving forward as a Titanuim Elite member I will not be staying at this hotel again!

I enjoyed my stay here. The restaurant was not available, so a trip down the street to Washington Street Grill did it for us. We had a chance to take in the comfy weather and get in some steps. The room was updated and lovely. The staff were attentive.

Pretty nice hotel. Seems to have been renovated at least in part. Kitchen in room can use updating.
Reason for the low rating - I don't feel this was a 35k point stay due to the following. Elevator from parking garage to hotel was out of order so we had to drag our luggage upstairs. B. At around 10 PM, they suddenly, with no warning whatsoever, turned off the water! There was a trickle of water coming out of the shower. Upon inquiring, they said it was an emergency. Not sure why the guy at the front desk checked us in 30 minutes earlier and didn't mention anything about this. All in all, maybe was just our bad luck, but that night was certainly not worth 35k points.

Great room, great view! Only thing I wasn't impressed with was that the tv in the BR wasn't able to be moved/adjusted to view directly towards the bed and the inability to Chromecast my phone to the TV. Only could be done with HDMI hard wiring.

$700ish is quite a bit for what I actually got. Room was cool and dark, but the bed was very old and lumpy. The extra I paid for the club, thank goodness, had food and water, but if you want the restaurant, not sure if and when it's open. Every time I tried to go it was closed. I didn't get any washcloths after housecleaning. I called to ask and I was told I could come get them? Why wouldn't I have them to begin with? The biggest issue is when the lobby bathroom closed on my arm. It was so heavy I could barely open it. I told the desk lady they needed to fix the door, that it hit my arm. She replied, yeah that door is really heavy. Fast forward, I'm bruised, but whatever, I guess. Ok so it's been 20 minutes and I'm still waiting on those washcloths. Big mistake staying here. I thought if anyplace would be good, it would be Sheraton. Don't choose this one.

The service here was great and always helped out when needed. I loved how huge the exercise room was here and the room had a great view of the town. The room was clean, beds were comfy, and everything we needed was there.

The room was beautifully renovated. Clean! Very conveniently laid out for my family to stay the night. Great water pressure too! The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because we kept hearing a weird beeping sound coming from the walls periodically and we had to call and have maintenance come because after we adjusted the thermostat, there was a VERY distinct smell of something burning. Guest Services and Maintenance were prompt and very helpful, however.

I proceeded to check into the Sheraton, 422 Delaware Avenue, Wilmington, DE 19801 on Friday, June 21st. This hotel is a Marriott hotel. Upon checking in, I wanted to utilize cash to pay for one night of my reservation for June 21, 22 checking out on June 23rd. I was apprised by the staff that the hotel does not accept cash. I then inquired as to whether the reservation could be paid for under two separate cards. The staff said “no, we do not split reservations. I was travelling with another individual who was responsible for payment for one night.
This scenario created a dilemma. I paid for one night utilizing my credit card. On Saturday, June 22nd, we had to check out of the hotel and secure other overnight accommodations.
I was able to secure accommodation at the Courtyard Marriott Wilmington Downtown, 1102 West Street located 1/10th of mile from the Sheraton. This property accepted cash.
This incident that transpired was totally unnecessary and a huge inconvenience to pack up and depart from the original location. There were other individuals who encountered the same issue as me since there is no posting stating that “cash is not accept as a form of payment or you cannot split payment.” I find it disturbing that one Marriott property engages in this business practice and other Marriott properties do not. There needs to be signage displayed stating the hotel policies and this is noted at the time the reservation is made. There was a group of four (4) females who came behind me at the reservation desk and wanted to split the reservation payment amongst themselves.
This mandate is obviously a practice implemented internally at the Sheraton Suites Wilmington and not a practice implemented by Marriott corporate headquarters and is not communicated to future guests at the time of the reservation booking. The event that was taking place was the Clifford Brown Jazz Festival, which the demographics of the attendees and hotel guests were ninety-nine (99%) African American. I find this practice implemented by the hotel very suspect and questionable. This is not my first incident with a Marriott brand hotel so I will not be patronizing their brand of hotels in the future. I have had negative experiences in Charleston, SC, Hampton, VA just to mention.
On today’s, date, July 12th, I received a call from a Marriott representative from area code (402) (Eastern Nebraska) what a total disconnect. The individual communicated to me that both hotels are franchises, and I was correct in that signage should be in place and visible to everyone. She stated that she would inform the Manager of my correspondence.
Spend your money where it is respected not challenged.

We made a stop in Philadelphia to rest. This hotel looked good. It mentioned free parking, not true $21 per night. I paid almost $200 to take a shower and sleep. I'm telling you, it's not worth it. Bad neighborhood, dirty bathroom, curtains tied with wire cables. Looks cheap for being so expensive. I won't stay there again. Also in the bathroom you can hear noises behind the wall. I don't know if they are rats. But it gives the feeling that they are watching you through the mirror.

Overall, 3.5/5.
I was slightly disappointed with how things were. The room I was in had a lot of chipped paint near the windows. When the toilet flushed, it kept running sometimes for a while. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were bad. I was also informed at the last minute that housekeeping services cost extra? So for a 2 night stay for 2 people, we only got 2 towels. It wasn't a huge deal for me, but my towel was still slightly damp when I went to take my 2nd shower.
I paid extra for the club level, but the club was closed "for the weekend". Some other friends were staying at the same hotel this weekend on non-club level rooms and their rooms were basically the exact same, so why'd I pay extra? Thankfully, the front desk staff were incredibly helpful and friendly.
The parking garage is terrible. It's so cramped and it's such a low clearance that a lot of modern cars struggle to fit. It's insane that they charge so much for that. Luckily again, the front desk staff were helpful and understanding.
It's a decent location and I've stayed here twice now. I think next time I'm visiting the city though I might shop around more.
Safety: Around the hotel it's pretty safe feeling. If you're familiar with Wilmington, you know that some parts of the city are worse off than others. If you're walking around, know your surroundings and be mindful.

Location seems nice enough. Thats where my positive review ends. With weeks in advance I booked a room with this hotel for a quick overnight business trip (slight redeye flight) while on the plane (9pm) I’m informed they overbooked reservations and there’s nothing they can do to help me. I asked what the point of making a reservation is, and they just shrugged. Cancelling my Marriott card- severely disappointed in the hotel and parent co customer service
