Jack Smith's in Asheville is awesome and you should take your car there! Had my transmission replaced and the experience was excellent. Kind staff, great communication, tight shop, work completed on budget, including some front end repairs and a few oil leaks repaired. It was a bunch of jobs in one visit and everything came back fixed 100% with no issues. Really had the sense that they were making a sincere effort to put my high milage Suburban back into top fighting shape - without tacking anything on unnecessarily. I feel good knowing that the next time I need service Jack Smith will be my first call. Thank you Jack Smith's!

Was on the phone with a man who was very rude , had an attitude did not care to listen to what I was saying , taking me for a joke when it was a very serious situation, lacked customer service skills however I came in the same day and spoke to somebody else was who was respectful and understanding just wish the staff was all around a good group

I was basically scolded for bringing my *not domestic* car there when I picked up my VW for brakes and for also not knowing they’re not taking new customers even though I live right up the street.

They don’t sale you up. Honest hard working folks. The place is always busy so you better get an appointment for your maintenance. But they are very accommodating and knowledgeable. They don’t cut corners and advise own when absolutely needed, but still charge less than others.

One of the hardest parts of moving to a new area is losing your network of Good People. Although I wish I hadn't found myself needing a good mechanic so soon (thanks, General Motors!), I'm so glad I found Jack Smith's. Every interaction I had with these guys was fast, honest, and fair - from the tow guy who saved me $25 off the bat, to Don Jr who did the work a day ahead of schedule and for half the cost I expected, to his father Don who refuses to upsell customers and kept the shop open late so I could pick up my car. If I have car trouble again I'll definitely be going back - and since I drive a Chevy, that's pretty likely!

I had an excellent experience at Jack Smith's! Not only were they able to fix my Jeep in one day, they educated me on how my engine works and showed me what went wrong. They took time out of their super busy day to fix my Jeep and I am so grateful! I would recommend Jack Smith's to anyone! No doubt the BEST in town!
