Yesterday i had a facial at Houpette with Vivian… i cannot say enough great things about Vivian and her services! She is such a kind soul and wants the best for her clients. Probably the best facial i have ever had. Highly recommend!!!!!!

Cannot say enough about Houpette. If you want to support local, then this is THE place. Cristy and Lizzie are not only attentive and knowledgeable, they truly listen to what you need. They don't over suggest like many other places. Whether you want an idea for a new lip color or are ready to invest in new skin care, they give you the same amount of care and attention.Houpette also carries a small line of clothing that's hard to find.I've shopped here since they opened more than 10 years ago. So I can solidly say that I highly recommend this great place.In recent years they have also added a room for facials - Every season that offer specials or add-ons with the facials, so that is when I tend to book - and never disappointed.I've had event makeup done, wedding makeup and both times, left feeling more beautiful than ever.

I highly recommend Houpette for their makeup services! Lizzie, of Houpette, did my bridal party makeup for my wedding in June 2021, which was in Chestertown, MD— an hour from their shop— I was so thankful she was able to travel for my big day!! Lizzie does beautiful natural makeup. She made me look and feel so pretty on the most important day of my life and I’m so thankful for her! I heard many recommendations for Lizzie and when I met her all of those recommendations were spot on. She is so wonderful, bubbly, beautiful and just fun to talk to! Also, the shop is so nice with high quality products and customer service! Such a gem!

Lizzie was an absolutely wonderful person to talk to and work with! We had a wedding on a Sunday and last minute had to change makeup salons. Even though houppette isn't normally open on Sundays, Lizzie was kind enough to open up the store and applied makeup to three people back to back. She made us look and feel beautiful that day, and we're really thankful for her generosity!

Liz from Houpette provided professional make-up artistry for myself, my mother and bridesmaids on my wedding day in October 2020. She traveled to our home, was very professional and safe regarding all pandemic precautions. She did an amazing job, complimenting everyone’s natural beauty, was on time and very prepared. Would absolutely recommend their services again!

Came in to buy my wife a gift . I was ignored for 7 minutes and when I finally asked for help you would have thought i was at the dmv. The over weight woman (I don't know her name) has worked there for years is absolutely rude. I would never shop at the place ever again. They don't have high end designers. Blue Mercury is the place for great makeup and has a friendly nice staff. Save your money don't shop at Houppette.

Houppette is a gem and it's always a treat to visit! Cristi, Heather, Liz and all of the women of Houppette are fantastic - generous with their time and in the know on the best new brands. My sister and I will always be grateful for Houppette's support of nfuse deodorant from the very beginning before we even launched in June. Houppette is simply the best!

Like a dream - an oasis of the best products you can imagine all in one place! The toughest decision you will make during your time in this store is what to put BACK on the shelf when it is time to check out because you can't possibly sneak that many bags of beauty products in the house at one time without your spouse or kids noticing! The staff is very friendly - the makeup artist tried out a few different options for me and then other staff helped me decide which looked best - they were honest because the result was fewer products (smaller purchase). But I made up for it by buying more on a different shelf :) I scored a new Fresh fragrance, Olivina hand lotion and a shitload of Skinceutical samples in addition to my new Laura Mercier foundation. I am already trying to think of an excuse to go back again soon!
