Such a delightful place to shop! Tucked into the sweet artsy Bellefonte neighborhood is this small but very active artist cooperative store. The shop represents a large variety of local artists, allowing them space within the shop, putting together street fairs and classes when these things are possible, and with online newsletters and social media presence. I was introduced to Bellefonte Arts by a friend who exhibits her handmade bears in the shop. Thanks to her I've now made multiple trips to the store, always finding something wonderful and unexpected, just what I hope to find when exploring a shop filled with the works of different artists. It's so nice to be ale to purchase a unique gift for someone. It's so much nicer than going to the "big store chains" This gallery has items made by painters, photographers, sculptors, jewelers. Purchasing a gift from this art gallery, is a great way to support local artists.....what a great idea!

Great place to purchase unique, local decorative and functional art and hand-made clothing on your way to dinner at the Bellefonte Cafe or passing by on an afternoon stroll down the Boulevard.

Not a stuffy bone in this art gallery. I walked in here and was greeted warmly, and as I was looking around, the nice lady was explaining that different artists show their work there. There is also a lot of one of a kind inexpensive gifts to see, and select from. My friend was an artist, so she knew all the scoop on the people displayed. I was just enjoying the unique flavor of this shop. Would HIGHLY recommend checking this place out when you are in Bellefonte. It is right across from the Bellefonte Café.....for your shopping and dining pleasure!!

I stopped in on a Saturday afternoon close to closing time but I am looking forward to going back when I visit my family in Delaware. They offer one of a kind gifts or self purchases of fine art, jewelry and clothing from local artist! The woman at the register was very friendly and welcoming because I must admit, walking into an art gallery can be intimating but the prices here are reasonable and she has items for all price points.

Bellefonte Arts has been a wonderful addition to the Bellefonte Community. The store has a fantastic collection of works by many local artists, (mine included:) and is constantly getting new art and jewelry in to see and enjoy. With a seating area and coffee and tea available for a donation, the atmosphere is relaxed and inviting. There's enough to keep you looking for a good while, and you can talk with artists, be part of the writing group or even sign-up for a class. Bellefonte Arts offers adult evening art classes. Classes range from glass beading, to fantasy drawing, to digital photography. It's a really great place to get gifts and celebrate local talent. Bellefonte Arts also hosts the Bellefonte Arts Festival every May. It's a fine arts street fair that extends several blocks on Brandywine Blvd in front of the store.
