My son likes this store, they are a bit pricey but their selection is really good and they made him feel very comfortable.

Today my handicapped son brought his Pokemon cards to the store to sell. It took us a lot of time to look up and find fair prices. He had very rare cards worth a ton. He sold them for 200.00. when he came home I was shocked. I called the store and told them what happened. They said come back. Don't worry. We have the stacks here. So we went right over to get them back. They said most were sold already ( in 5 minutes) . They said they were not giving them back to him . They larger man at the counter said that he knew they were worth a lot more. He tried to tell me that the cards were beaten up and wrinkled up. They were in mint condition in sleeves. He offered one card back. And said we could buy new ones. I am very disappointed in this store. My son is a handicapped child and they basically said they didn't care. They took advantage of him. His cards were worth hundreds each. Be very careful dealing with this store. This was a horrible lesson for my child.

I walked into this store yesterday, with well over $200 dollars worth of cards to get rid of for cash. And I did all the math before hand going in (I did not say that I did because I wanted to see what they would offer first off). I had about 7 Pokémon cards and 8 yugioh cards. One Pokémon care worth $80-$90 Aerodactyl V #180 alone (which I had brought in 1 month prior and got a $75 offer from a different employee), another $100-$110 Erika's Invitation #196 Pokémon Japanese Scarlet & Violet 151, plus a few smaller hitting cards ranging from $5-$20 and a $40 Charizard card. They offered me $31 for my Pokémon cards and $11 for the yugioh. So I am not sure if they were trying to scam me or they did not think I would know what things are worth, but that is outrageous. I am not stupid I know I am going to take a decent 30% loss because I am giving them to a shop, and I am all about support my local shops before anything else but I will no longer be coming here, that is a robbery.... So just be careful of them there.

Ridiculous price gouging. Makes it awful hard to support your local game store.....per your response... makes total sense... lets charge scalper prices so scalpers don't buy them....so now I can buy them from scalpers or you for the same price...essentially just makes you the scalper

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLEif you are new into the TCG world then DO NOT COME HERE!! The man behind the counter disregarded my girlfriends question about a pack of cards and walked away like she had no business being in his store. We decided to not let the rudeness of this man bother us and continued to shop. I asked to see a trainers box that was on the shelf a celebrations Pokémon trainer box to be exact , the man replied with “that’s just a box it’s nothing there’s nothing in it ” ……. Being the avid Pokémon collector that I am I knew this was a lie because of the factory seal and it being on the shelf for sale lol, I figured he thought I meant a different item and will ask again before leaving. I then went on to buy two booster boxes and asked one last time before checking out if I could see the celebrations box ( I own three of these already I did not and do not need another) the man answered with “no” “not selling it” I’m not sure what I did wrong to deserve this treatment or why he felt he needed to lie to me about the box in the first place but we decided to take our business somewhere else and will never be back. Honesty is a huge part in the TCG World and if this man lied about something so frivolous then what’s to say he is not weighing his packs or lying about everything else? So if your a female, new to TCG world , have questions, or want to spend your money THEN DONT COME HERE .

Lorcana Booster Boxes MSRP for $147.95 and AU has them for preorder for $249.99. When I asked about the $100.00 markup, they justified the price gouging saying I could pay scalpers if I didn't like it. If you live in Wilmington, AU is not your friend. Drive a little farther down the street to friendly places that aren't looking to make a quick buck off young children new to the hobby.

I was just at the store earlier today looking for some D&D mini figures and not a single person came to me and asked if I needed help. Even when I had an item to purchase, no one came to the register. 2-4 guys sitting at a table talking about Yu-Gi-Oh and Pokemon, while I am standing in front of the register. I was there for 10-15 minutes and other than the initial greeting when I walked in, no one approached me and no one came to the register when I was ready to pay. I will never go here again. Apparently me and my kids were invisible.Wish I could give ZERO stars.

Overpriced cards just buy them online. Worker got defensive when I pointed out their $8 cards sell for 2 on TCGplayer and refused to price match when I asked if that was an option

I love this store. I have a great time every time I go. The staff are cool people and know their MtG. I've learned some great stuff and the prices are so reasonable. I have game stores closer to me (I live in Bear), and I love them too, but I think this is my game store. 10/10 would geek out again. Simple as that.(Maybe some background music would be cool though, it's like a library in there.)

My son loves coming here. They always have what he is looking for at that time. The staff is very nice and patient with him as he takes his time picking out what he wants. If you are into fantasy game trading cards, games and accessories, thus is definitely the place to check out.

Alternate Universes is an awesome, class Local Game Store. DnD, TCGs, miniatures- they have it all. Paints, board games, whatever you need. I go to play Warmachine on Tuesday nights but I saw a number of other hobby groups there just chillin. So many tables!

Well stocked store with professional and knowegable staff. The general clientele is friendly and mid-level players/collectors. Store could use a bit more "character", as it is very stripped down almost clinical retail space... this may be a plus for some... i myself like a bit of flavor. That being said I consider myself blessed to have a store of this caliber within 20 min driving of me.

Not to long ago I took my binder of vintage Pokémon cards here, because I wanted to know if my cards were fake. The staff checked my binder and declared that there were no fakes! They knew what to look for on the cards and were really helpful! I also got a full art eevee from the 3$ binder for my sisters birthday (early gift). And 3 new vintage cards. A holographic chansey from base set 2! A holographic vaporeon from the jungle set! And a holographic clefable from the jungle set (I put the price for the cards as a caption on the images)! I love this store, the staff is amazing, it’s only a five minute drive to get there, in a decent area and just fun to look around! Not to mention they have magic the gathering cards! I think there are d&d events also!
