“This is the best pharmacy I have used since I have moved to Delaware. I have been a nurse for 33 years and Ryan is the best Pharmacist I ever had. He really cares about his customers that he serves. He is so friendly, professional, and will always take the time to answer any questions you may have either in person or on the phone. As a nurse, I know how busy Pharmacist's can be. I honestly trust Ryan's advise more than some of the doctors I use.I have no problems with the staff. The majority know me by name and are always friendly, have a smile on their face and are always willing to help me if there is a problem with one of my medications. I know how short staffed the medical profession is due to the mandate of the COVID 19 vaccine. I always remember when you are short of help, one person can only due so much. We all need to learn to be patient and remember how many customers they are waiting on, the phone calls they need to answer, the need for a person at the drive through window, search for our prescriptions, and administer the COVID vaccine and I am sure I have left out many other duties. Many pharmacies do not stock certain medications, so they need to be ordered. If you are not on automatic refill, you need to call several days before you have no medication left. We all need to remember that our health system has changed and it is not for the better. It is not the workers fault but Walgreens franchise.”
“I am giving the Pharmacy a #5 only because Ryan is the best Pharmacist I have ever had. This is from a nurse with 33 years of experience having to deal with Pharmacist's over the phone. This pharmacy is very busy and I have no idea how Ryan keeps up with all the proscriptions he fills in one day, people calling and asking to talk to him ,people , a question either at the proscription counter or where they drop off new prescriptions. He always has a smile on his face and I have never seen him in a bad mood.I have no idea how Ryan and the staff of the Pharmacy keep up, especially since the pandemic and having to administer the vaccine to people who are coming to Walgreens for their injections. Due to Walgreens poor management, the Pharmacy now is closed on Saturday and Sunday and closes every day at 6:00 PM.If you would offer a decent wage and hire more people you may not be short staffed. One person can only do so much. This is not fair to Ryan of the staff or to the customers who use this pharmacy. My husband was discharged from the hospital and it was a Friday and the Pharmacy was closed at 6 PM. I was unable to get it on Saturday and Sunday because the Pharmacy was closed. I had to call another Walgreens to check if they could transfer my husbands prescription so he would be able to start it. The good news was they were able to do that for me. The bad news was that is far from where I live and gas is very expensive. When Ryan and staff come in on Monday they are looking at Saturday, Sunday and Mondays prescriptions to fill.As a nurse I suggest Walgreen's management to visit this pharmacy and spend a few weeks watching how Ryan and staff work. Maybe then you will get the idea that you can't run a pharmacy with a ghost of a staff. It is so easy to sit behind your desk and decide to cut staff but you are not the person that is the one that is working the job of the people you let go. I have been there and you finally get burnt out and leave.”
