“Found myself in an unusual situation. About to start a new job which comes with a company vehicle but it would not be delivered until Dec 1. At the same time, someone made me a great offer on my personal car so I accepted. My plan was to just use my old 4 Runner which had 300k + miles on it and was typically only used for dump runs, until the company car was delivered. That's when the 4 Runner decided to get unreliable. Now I'm jammed up wondering how I'm going to get to my new job but not wanting to buy something because I had a company car on the way. I took the 4Runner to Gene's and explained the situation. They took the 4Runner on trade and put me in a dependable but inexpensive Kia so now I have a dependable ride to work and didn't have to spend a fortune unnecessarily. Paris handled the sale and was straight up about the issues with the Kia. I was spending a few grand on something to hold me over for a little while. I certainly wasn't expecting it to be perfect. I've never dealt with a more honest and straightforward dealership that worked with my situation the way they did. When I read some of these negative reviews, I have to laugh. Gene's is a Buy Here, Pay Here place. When you buy inexpensive, "as is" vehicles, you cannot expect a car without some issues. They put people in cars who most likely do not qualify for traditional franchised dealership financing situations yet it seems that is what these people expect. Gene's will get you on the road and tell you exactly what you are dealing with when it comes to the car you are buying. It wont be perfect but you will get wat you pay for. I think they are great!”

He was more than accommodating, giving me past service history. He remembered both previous owners of the vehicle and advised me that I bought a very solid car. He also told me that if I ever wanted to sell it back to him to let him know. So I've never had my car serviced at OC imports, but I can say their customer service is fantastic. Even for someone out of state who probably wont become a customer due to distance. The first car was a used Honda with great mileage and clean inside and out, happened to be in an accident and sadly totaled. The second vehicle I bought same thing, amazing price, amazing miles. Have had it for months and one minor thing needed to be replaced. He honored my warranty and had it fixed it same day! 10/10 recommend for used cars. Title hasn’t come in for the second car but I have called dmv and they let me know they are behind.I keep business cards in my wallet for his referral bonus!!! :)”
