“This is one of my favorite hotels at this beach. It's a large, pink-colored hotel with a Victorian theme throughout the hotel. They have several parrots in the lobby that you can interact with while you check in or just by hanging in the lobby. They also have an attached restaurant to the hotel called Queen Victoria - another Victorian-themed restaurant. The food here is overpriced and not the best-tasting food I have had but the atmosphere is classy and the food isn't half bad. They also have a Kinkel bar in the back for older adults where a smaller bar is located. Here you can play chess, order drinks and food, and have homemade popcorn made.”

“Great place to stay! Clean, great location and great customer service. Very easy to check in, and the gentleman at the counter was so sweet! Highly recommended!!! Had a great experience overall. I do have one recommendation, if you want to do the spa make your reservation the same time you make your reservation for the hotel.”

“Super clean hotel! Very impressed with how clean the lobby, rooms, and pool area were. Short driving distance to main board walk and restaurants. Some restaurants also in walking distance and right near the Tanger outlets.”

“Can't find a better hotel in the area for the nightly rate than The Oceanus. It's well-furnished, clean, and conveniently located to the beach as well as a wide array of restaurants and novelty stores. It sustains maximum hospitality even through lower activity tourist seasons, my stays here were in October.”

“I was actually quite shocked at how good this place was for the price. It was an extremely easy check-in, completely done through after hours mailboxes. It's a millennial dream to not have to speak to a human being after a day of travel. I was thrilled. The rooms are extremely small which is to be expected, but the beds were comfortable and they provided a mini fridge, shampoo, body wash, lotion, plenty of towels and washcloths, of course TV. there's plenty of free parking and an outdoor space to smoke or relax although I didn't see anybody using it while we were here. there's no elevator, so if you can't take stairs you would have to get a bottom floor room. I thought it was really cute that they had a chair at the end of every floor on both sides for people who wanted to relax or smoke, with a cute plant right next to it. our floors did get the bottom of my feet black but otherwise the room was spotless and I doubt that was normal, they might have just missed a messy spot or something. overall this is going to be our place to stay going forward. it was within walking distance to the beach, although definitely not a quick walk. I'm sure people would be thrilled that there's a Starbucks across the street, although there are plenty of local coffee places that you should frequent instead. The liquor store across the street looked pretty solid too.”

“Keeping in mind that this is an Econo Lodge and not a luxury hotel like many of you seem to expect, it was a great value for the price. We stayed for 5 nights and the only complaint I had is that we booked a non-smoking room, and immediately upon entering, it smelled like smoke. It stopped after you were in the room for a minute or two, but didn’t even realize smoking rooms were still a thing. The floor could have been cleaned a bit better but other than that, we really had no issues. Our housekeeper personally checked in with us each day and called the room to see if we needed anything if we didn’t happen to run into her in the hallway already. It was just a place to shower and sleep, we didn’t use the pool or breakfast. Distance to the beach is not bad at all. We got to Dewey in under 10 mins even with traffic. I would have no issues rebooking!”

“Oldie but Goodie!

I recently spent a week at the Summer Place Hotel and had a great experience. The location is fantastic, just a short walk to the beach and downtown restaurants and shopping. While I brought my own bedsheets for extra comfort (as I found their sheets a bit lacking during my last stay), the room rates remain very reasonable compared to other options in the area, which can be quite pricey and farther away.

One of the best parts was the hotel’s parking—it’s much cheaper than the nearby meters, which charge an outrageous $40 per hour!

Dan, the owner, is very nice and generous, making guests feel welcome. I hope he will still be there next year; it seems like Rehoboth is upgrading and prices are on the rise.

I look forward to returning!”
