I regularly use Walgreens for my family and myself whenever prescriptions are needed. I also tend to favor using them in other states since you can find them all over the US. When vacationing or visiting family, I have found stores with friendlier service and so clean that you thought it was a newer store. I've also seen many Walgreens in other states which carried much more variety of items stocked.

My wife needed a rapid Covid test to be induced for labor on 12/28. She made an appointment 12/23 to have a test done on 12/26. She showed up and completed the test and was told it would be 2 hours for results. Fast forward 3 1/2 hours later and no results she tries to call and can’t get an answer. She waits another hour and calls only to find out that not only did the pharmacy close early, but it would also be closed the following day. No one was even going to inform her of this( not to mention others waiting on medication). As if being days from giving birth isn’t a stressful enough situation, we’re now scrambling and having to drive over an hour to the next closest place to get the test done. Really disappointed in the lack of communication and consideration for your customers.

Stopped in for a flu shot at 2719 Pulaski Hwy, Newark, DE 19702 Saturday October 23rd. Made a phone call the day before to ask if it was necessary for an appointment and was told we didn’t need one but that we needed to arrive early as the pharmacy gets busy with shots. My husband and I arrived at 8:45 and were the first ones in line. The Pharmacy opened at 9:05 and the lady proceeded to ask us what we needed help with. Once I told her we were there for flu shots she pulled out a list of names and started looking through the list, apparently looking for “our names”. I politely interrupted her and told her she wouldn’t find our name on that list because we were “walk-ins”. Well that did not sit well with this employee she huffed and she puffed as she told us we needed an appointment! I explained that I had called the day before and was told they accepted walk-ins AND there is a BIG sign at the entrance that says “Walk-ins welcomed for vaccines”. She checked with the pharmacist who told her he would take us even though we didn’t have an appointment! Another gentleman walked in for the same and was turned away. Why on earth do you have advertisements and signs for vaccines if you are going to give your customers a hard time when they stop? Needless to say we will never come back to Walgreens for our shots. We will go to Riteaid where they welcome EVERYONE regardless how busy they are.

I’ve need critical care meds to stay out of hospital and we have been to this location three times during normal business hours and the pharmacy is closed. Today it’s saying they’re closed all day again. Now I’ve missed three doses and need the provider to send to a different pharmacy all over again. This is criminally negligent.

Terrible customer service with the pharmacy. 1 week to order a prescription and get texts saying it was ready. Get there to pick it up, not only not ready but they have to reorder it because it didn't come in. Happen twice, and they still don't know when it will be there

This is my local Walgreens. The staff are excellent - friendly, helpful, knowledgeable but not pushy salesman-types. The reason for my 3 star review is Walgreens' higher up management who decided to drastically cut pharmacy hours without warning customers. It doesn't open until 9:30am M-F now, so we can't pick up prescriptions before work. It closes at 6 p.m. M-F, which is very early if you work any shift that ends later than 5:3.0pm. And, in case that isn't inconvenient enough, there are no longer ANY weekend pharmacy hours. Thanks ever so much, Walgreens management. Not. :( (I still love the pharmacy staff, though)
